Hello there. I am new to the , and hae jut got the 4X4 bug after a trip to Moab. I have a 91 XJ with 262K on it. Dad bought it brand new. Still runs great but put a 4 inch lift on it and having some problems with 4 wheel drive. Anyone gone and played in the snow yet?

Here is a link to a post about the 4wheeldrive. the linkage for the 4wd is out of wack after droping the TC an inch. but working on it

Should be able to drill a hole lower on the bracket on the body and fix the prob. I have a little right angle drill with a uni bit that should fix you prob real quick.

I have another question for you guys. I did some searches and didnt turn up to much about tires and daily drivers in colorado. I have a 91 with a 4 inch rocky-road lift and was wondering what you guys thought the best daily driver tires/trail tires are. Anything new out there? good ride? Use to work at a tire place but the was four years ago i am not sure whats new out there.

dodo4bird, I looked at your other post and replied also. Wondering if the TC mount got flipped and that is why your linkage is not lineing up.

As for tires we ran BGF AT on the wifes old Jeep for DD and they lasted for ever. Also were OK for off roading she did in it.

i replaced the tranny mounts. i got the linkage to work. got 4hi ad 4low havents had 4low in years. im on to spacers and just wating for them to get in stock. thanks for all your help. ill post some pics when i get it all done!!! I went with mtr 32X11.50 . which is good since im moving to the mountains

MTR's are good tires, you wont be disappointed. they won't last as long as an AT, but will make up for that offroad.

thats what i have heard. I worked at discount tire co about two years ago and everyone said that the mtr was a great tire, but havent stayed in the tire business so i thought there might be something new out there now.
still need spacers for 5X4.5 if anyone has a set they are looking to sell!!
