New 3700 car for next season

No, my cage isn't tagged, and I doubt it would pass Bill Savage's tech. It's all 1 1/2" tube, which I believe I've far exceeded the weight limits on that. I'm comfortable with the design, though...I think it has plenty of tubes and decent triangulation, and all that, but it was originally designed as a chassis stiffening rock crawler cage. If I built it as a racer...lots of things would be different.

I was saying 4700 because next season, there's supposed to be a few more guys racing in 3700 who have built their cars to the rules...Ford motor doesn't really fit well there...but, if the entry numbers are still down...who knows.

I could see the 1.5" being a problem as you said but in all reality I bet it is more then enough.

Ahh, forgot about the V8 in there!!

Ya baby! sweet truck! ha, at fist, I thought that was Dan's. So, mopar outlaw is 4700? Are V8's allowed in 3700 if they were factory, like a ZJ? I thought a V8 comando might be cool, they were available with a 360.

In 3700 you can have a V8 in any rig, as long as it was a factory production engine from Dodge/Jeep/Chrysler/AMC, etc. No aluminum blocks though. 4 and 6 cylinder motors can be turbo/supercharged, and V8 can not be dry sumped.

An SRT-8 would be bad a$$ in an XJ or MJ.

well some do that, but there are other options. Maybe he will run no stock lights and just lights on the front bumper and on the roof. what he has created in a way is a one piece clip type look. Mostly used on trucks. but who knows thats just my guess haha Dan will chime in when he gets a chance.

I agree it does look sweet!!

Just wondering why he chose that.
