Looking for springs for an MJ in the 6"+ range... ive called rustys and they dont plan on producing any till after summer...
Plans for this Jeep is D60s and running 39" Rubber.

Mo

you might not find an offical listing for that but a spring over is 5 to 6in and there are the same spring for the most part as a FS jeep.

so you're looking for 12" of total lift!? 6 in the SOA and 6 from springs?

the only excuse for that is 50"+ tires and WIDE axles

if i were to run 39s on my MJ, I would do so with 8-9 inches of lift, there is no unibody strength in any of the MJ fenders so you can just cut away. I have 8 inches under my MJ now with a spring over and a mixed assortment of junkyard leaves.

if you really want 6" spring packs, I believe you will need to get them custom made, Alcan comes to mind

The Jeep is in excellent shape. I have the D60 up under it now with the current springs and it looks good. With the 35s i was scrubbing on the front of the rear fender and with the 40s its going to be closer. I plan on running TJ flares to open up the wells more but would like to lift it up a bit more. Ive been looking at the xj springs but they measure several inches shorter in lenght than the mjs do. What i might end up doing is run 4.5" springs and trim, but i wanted to get rid of the longer shackle and the AALs. The unibody has already been reinforced with plating from end to end so strenght wont be a problem. Dont get me wrong, the info you guys are giving is great and appreciated... Keep the suggestions coming :yelclap:

Might be time to start measuring your current springs and see what other vehicles springs might be swapped in. Short of custom spring, this sounds like you are gonna have to do some homework.

Actually thats what ive been doing... but it seems that other than custom springs, fender trimming is going to be the answer for now... its free! ;)

Wow, sounds like you've been busy! Do you have any pictures of this beast? One of the MJ Yahoo group members found a custom spring manufacturer that had reasonable prices. Off hand I can't remember what the name of the place was, but a search in the archives should bring it up. (link is below) What sort of lift did you have in mind for the front?
Jeep on!
