need help finding an XJ!

Hey all, just sold my CJ and really want an XJ. Don't want to spend over $1000.00. Don't care too much about body, it will be for trails only. Just have a solid engine. High miles OK. If anyone has seen one or knows of one, please let me know.

There is one here in Woodland it's an 87 Pioneer, 4 door, 4.0, Automatic, A/C (not cold), no rock rash underneath, 210K miles,Motor sounds good,straight body (Minor ding in the rear drivers side door) and I think it has a 44 in the rear!!. It's here in Woodland,

Maximus (Rob) had a lady friend/acquaintance with a 87 or 88' 2 door xj for $800 cash that she was selling about a month ago. You might want to check with him as well if it is still abailable. The 87' with a dana 44 rear, 4.0L, aw4 4 speed auto/231 t-case would be a good start in a trail rig. All you would have to do then is gear it, lock it, lift it, and tire it. You might also want to get rid of the small 260 u-jointed dana 30 axle shafts for a non-disco 297 u-jointed ones, or aftermarket shafts, but you could have some fun with it right away and not have a whole lot of $ into it.
