Ok the jeep is still down but no reason we could not try and plan something. I could do a day trip some time in either Oct. or Nov. to URE. Going to Fl on the weekend of the 1st of Oct. Who wants to try and plan something for later in Oct? Or would any of you be interested in coming down here for a cook out/wheel the local trail? I'm in Hartsville, SC 29550 if you did not know. About 20 minutes from the Darlington Raceway if you watch NASCAR.

I'd like to get one more trip in this year as well. I've been told i'm being shipped back to Italy for work for a week, possibly even 2 this time...sometime October or November. But if they don't hurry up an pick a date i'm going to go ahead and make other plans and make them work around me...

not bad looks pretty cool. how does it compare to ure?

It's one long trail through sandy woods. However, they have dug some deep holes to make it interesting and added some obstacles like rock and telephone poles in them. So over all there are some difficult things to play on but its short. Maybe a mile to mile and half long. I have seen plenty of carnage there though. Lots of room to stand around and take pictures and harass each other too. :) The mud side is next to Lynches river so when its up its a no pass situation. We also have been know to wash the jeeps/trucks off down there. IMHO I'd rather drive to URE... but durring the winter its the best thing we have. Gas is also expensive to tow up there so this place might get used more this year then in the past.

what about gulches? im prob going there the weekend of nov 12, (bday) hope i got jeep finished by then

IMHO Gulches is not worth the trip from where I am. I can be to URE in a hour less drive time and to Callantee in an hour more. For a day trip its URE for me. For an overnight trip it's Callantee. URE is what I was shooting for in this thread. It is the best all around place for the NC and SC people to wheel IMHO.

Im down with URE just tell me when and hope that my jeep is still together and running.

That has been my problem sence the Crawl. :(

trails look fun! is it worth a 5 hour drive? not so much of a day trip with ten hours on the highway. camping allowed in the local trails?

Uwharrie yes I think it's worth a drive if you are not overly built like me and enjoy wheeling and hanging out.

how about your local trails? they allow camping? jeep is still good on the highway. getting 19 out of 55 mph

I would not drive 5 hours for them but we do have a good time when we go out there. If you were to do that it would be best to get a good group together and have a meet and greet and cook out. And URE is closer and could be done there too.

So any ideas on a date for this yet im kinda getting an itchy foot?

Nope but you guys can come to Hartsville Saturday and hang out and work on the heep! ;) If I get her done in the am I'll head to the Farm for some testing.
