if they strip out a drain bolt. they have this ghetto fix its a plug with legs on it that you stick in the hole and the legs grab around the oil pan and its just a rubber gasket that you torque down hand tight

wicked ghetto fix

i only know this because 1/4 the time i peel the jiffy lube oil change stickers off the cars at work and go underneath, this ghetto fix is there

White 97+ lifted with 32s or bigger in stamford, CT. Can't remeber if this was yesterday or today?. Had flares removed but looked uncut. Also saw a patriot blue 97+ in the stop and shop parking lot in Norwalk, CT that was sittig tall on new looking maxxis bighorns. Lift looked to be a 4.5" and there were skyjacker shocks plus a rubicon express sticker on the side window and flares still on it

saw a dark blue / black lifted XJ in shelburne bay VT on US-7 early today, unsure of any other features really, I waved

curious - how's that compare to the same screwup on vehicles with the valvoline instant oil change sticker? I used to work for them, can't vouch for other shops in the chain obviously but we only put 1-2 of those in per month, usually on horrible rust-ridden creaking old jalopies. Of course, we also got yelled at if we didn't use a torque wrench to put the drain plug back in - was one of the manager's policies after a newly hired highschool dropout used a breaker bar to put a plug back in and fractured some guy's cast aluminum oil pan. Ended up costing the shop a lot of money to replace it, the guy was fired... I was happy to see him go because a week previous he had considered it really funny to spray me with the high pressure ATF dispenser.

Did you give this kid the beat down of his life like it sounds he earned.

Anybody know where to get these, I could use one for now until I pull the engine in my Stang. How well do they work? And are the reusable?

I saw a dark colored XJ with a small budget boost this morning. Trooper rd just down the street from the Catholic School.
There is a house for sale sign in the front yard and a ton of crap piled up.

The jeep had a roof rack, some lights and 30" ? tired on it.

he deserved it, but I was pretty sure he was a tweaker (not sure I wanted to fight a tweaker) and not certain I wanted to possibly get fired for beating the crap out of another employee. So I settled for "accidentally" spilling oil and washer fluid through engine bays onto him while he was in the pit for a few days.

As for the ghettofix, they're probably called "pan saver plugs" and in the Help section of AutismZone. You won't be able to remove it fully without dropping the pan, because it uses a toggle bolt / nut arrangement and the back half will fall in the pan if you just pull the plug+screw out. To drain the oil you loosen the bolt till the oil can drain out, then retighten it after.

8am. 25 west about to go over the bourne bridge this morning was a 97+ silver xj with 3" of lift or so, 31's at least and an aftermarket front bumper possibly arb.

Spotted a Black New Style XJ. SUPER CLEAN. Looked like a virgin jeep thats how clean it was! Chrome wheels, 32's, 3-3.5" of lift. Pulling into Quick Pick Gas station. Driven by an older man. I nodded and he looked at me like I was dumb. He also parked very crooked to get gas. Made me laugh haha
