if they strip out a drain bolt. they have this ghetto fix its a plug with legs on it that you stick in the hole and the legs grab around the oil pan and its just a rubber gasket that you torque down hand tight
wicked ghetto fix
i only know this because 1/4 the time i peel the jiffy lube oil change stickers off the cars at work and go underneath, this ghetto fix is there
curious - how's that compare to the same screwup on vehicles with the valvoline instant oil change sticker? I used to work for them, can't vouch for other shops in the chain obviously but we only put 1-2 of those in per month, usually on horrible rust-ridden creaking old jalopies. Of course, we also got yelled at if we didn't use a torque wrench to put the drain plug back in - was one of the manager's policies after a newly hired highschool dropout used a breaker bar to put a plug back in and fractured some guy's cast aluminum oil pan. Ended up costing the shop a lot of money to replace it, the guy was fired... I was happy to see him go because a week previous he had considered it really funny to spray me with the high pressure ATF dispenser.if they strip out a drain bolt. they have this ghetto fix its a plug with legs on it that you stick in the hole and the legs grab around the oil pan and its just a rubber gasket that you torque down hand tight

Anybody know where to get these, I could use one for now until I pull the engine in my Stang. How well do they work? And are the reusable?if they strip out a drain bolt. they have this ghetto fix its a plug with legs on it that you stick in the hole and the legs grab around the oil pan and its just a rubber gasket that you torque down hand tight

he deserved it, but I was pretty sure he was a tweaker (not sure I wanted to fight a tweaker) and not certain I wanted to possibly get fired for beating the crap out of another employee. So I settled for "accidentally" spilling oil and washer fluid through engine bays onto him while he was in the pit for a few days.Did you give this kid the beat down of his life like it sounds he earned.
