NAC Lobster-Fest: Oct 10th in Weare, NH

I'll probably be bringing a small amount of beer for the campfire afterwards, not sure how much or what types. Anyone of legal age is welcome to partake.

so nobodys got an address? i guess im gonna hafta drive around in weare for a while till i see a bunch of xjs haha

:roflmao:

guess what just broke on my XJ?

THE XXXXING AXLE MOUNT FOR MY PASSENGER LOWER CONTROL ARM

I kept hearing a weird crunching noise randomly on turns tonight, turns out it was the LCA smacking into the axle housing. Ugh. I guess I need to throw a d30 in this thing a little sooner than I planned (the whole passenger end of the axle is pretty badly rusted, I thought my coil perch would go bad first in fact.) I'm strongly considering lashing it together and driving slowly to get to Lobsterfest, but this isn't really sane, anyone got a spare seat and driving from Worcester area?

yeah it happens, I'm pretty confused, I just picked up a replacement transmission (thanks 90XJay) else I bet that would have blown out instead. I need to keep a parts XJ sitting in a parking lot somewhere to scare my Heep into not breaking anything because I have spare parts for everything.

tanks.
we need another run this fall so that you and Travis and whoever else cant make, can.
ooor, snow run perhaps?

got food drive in nov and toy drive in dec, and i do plan a snow run in jan

Weld it back on and get up here...

i got my steering box braced and back on, bumper back on, and new leaves on so i'm actually sitting level on the mofo! i'll be coming up around noon, i'll call lobsterdumb in the morning to figure out a meeting place

It's funny, back when I first went down to his place I drove past your house on my way there and told him he's got to meet the neighbors like you. We were wondering if you were here in NAXJA...

I was not on this site till Redneckboarder told me about this trail run and how it was in my town. I was like WTF? I need more info. lol I mean im a wrangler guy so
other then that i dont know if i would of joined here. If there is a run over here before the snow falls then i will make that one. But i have a Club run this weekend that i dont want to miss.

lobster - that's what I was considering, I'm about to drag the welder downstairs and see how badly mangled it is. If it's repairable at all (it was dark and I just had a crappy flashlight when I looked, don't remember) I'll weld it up and drive... carefully... to your place.

EDIT: definitely no offroading of any sort in my future till I replace the axle though, I need/want 4.10s and WJ LCAs anyways.

EDIT2: the outboard side is literally 1/16" thick and fractured in my multiple places. The inboard side is about 3/32" thick and bent... I'm not sure what I can do about this, gonna give it a try though. I'm surprised it lasted as long as it did.
