What year block? HO I assume?
Why do you think it might be low on compression? If the top end was just rebuilt it's a safe guess that the rings are toast.

Yes, HO - it out of my 1995.

The only reason I was thinking it was low on compression was because there was a hill that the engine alone, when turned off, the Jeep would creep down the hill while in gear. Unfortunately, I didn't think to do a compression test before we pulled the motor, since the decision to replace the motor had already been made.

So, yes, probably rings are getting weak. Oil pressure is still just over 40 at anything above 1000 rpm.

I have a roughstuff diff guard for the D44, goes over the cover.
Wont work on my D44 as it covers the fill plug.
