My oops re-run invite

See you all there!

sorry guys, I'm out....me, my wife and our 15 mo. daughter all have the flu... :gonnablow

I'll guess I'll have to wait for Frank Raines on April 8th to meet ya'll.

Sorry about the flu Joe. The flu been going around.... but its looking like I am in again. All depends on getting my trackbar back from the machine shop today. Its raining in Fresno and snowing in the hills. Should be awsome tommorrow. So 9am tommorrow at the grocery store in Prather, this where we are all meeting?

Just a bunch of questions.

So, how many are coming ?
Why not to explore something else, like Chinquapin or some other roads to Shuteye peak ?
Are we going to try to get farther ?

So far looks like I am coming, just do NOT wait up on me.

I am not into early morning Saturday, not earlier than 6am.
I will drive on Friday (today??) to Fresno and will rent a room for one night in some crappy hotel. Saturday evening I am driving back to San Jose.

My wife is not coming, anyone into room sharing ?

Andrey

I'll be at the grocery store in prather around 8:30 to get grub up. With a couple of ride alongs. Should be good and hungover!

Great to hear you are thinking about joining us Andrey!!! Ben, glad it all worked out. Did you end up using MotionIndustries?

I am going to be in Prather at 7am, I am going to hang out with the Grandparents that live there. I will be parked just off the road just west of the Chevron Station on the big dirt patch where the restrooms are at.

I am very very GLAD there will be more people than just me!

See you all tomorrow.

Matt

I'm out for sure! Sorry but a buddy needs me to help them move into their new house. He is a Sheriff Deputy and signed off my flare fix-it ticket, so I definitely owe him one.

My Brother-in-law has a 4-runner and said he would probably be heading up there. Maybe you'll meet him, his name is Robert. He is about 6-2, blue eyes and blonde hair with a medium build, but he's married so BACK OFF!!!. :confused1

Have some fun guys!! party1:

Man, this was the best snow run I have ever been a part of. The wheeling was fun, the weather was wonderful, and the people were amazing as always! We had 4 of us total, BenH, slonopotam, Maximus, and I... Oh and Basalt showed up late in the afternoon.

On with the pictures and comments!

This was our group starting off with a TON of fresh powder.

All in all, no major damage. 1 broken towstrap was the only breakage for the day. Lots of winching and double tugging to get us unstuck. But, I am still smiling from the fun today!

Matt

Looks like you all had a blast. Snow/ weather looked great! Wish I had Made it, insted of taking care of the sick. I did get one of my new JRC sliders installed.

it was a good day 4 sure. i was pretty tuckered out after yesterday. i cant even begin to think how Ande was doing on that ride home (by the way did you make it back?). It was rad. Nothing will bring you back to reality like getting stuck in the same exact spot 3 different times, but only deeper the time after. what a blast. I wont be hitting the hills again until after april 20. Thanks to everyone that came out.

I remember being pulled only once. Have I slept more that I thought ?

I'd say I am stupid. Should have prepared on Thursday and get a hotel. As a result, got way too excited and could not sleep till 2:30, got up at 4:00, left parking lot in Santa Clara at 4:30. Got to Prather at 7:30 [I missed a turn and end up in some recreation area on hwy145 and refuled in Madera], drunk coffee and called Matt.
Decided to go ahead, patrolled Dinkey creek road for some time, then finaly got in the snow and checked my assumption about the Rock creek road. This is when Toyota guys showed up.

How come I don't have one ?

I am a bit unsatisfied we did not get to the lookup tower :), but otherwise it was very pleasurable experience. I wish we had more ! (after the nap)

Thank's to everybody!

Sorry for not helping, I was slow yesterday.

We had a blast!! Unbeleivably the kids did not sleep on the way home.

Thanks to Mike for playing with my kids so much.

Hey Andre, you did help Ben get out, we had to join you and I together to do it though.

I need to et my name in red again and do more of these, I love my Jeep even more after runs like this.

Thanks!!

Here are some pictures I took and a link to a video of Matt dipping his winch into snow.
