You want to meet us at the trail head?? I usually like to meet in Prather so those who are unfamiliar with the way there, dont get lost.
I am considering buying chains that fit my tires so I can do as well as you!

is it recomended for 1 (2 back tires) or 2 (all 4 tires) sets of chains?
Slonopotam made it further than anyone last time, and he was the only rig wearing chains. Just to give you an idea of what chains can do for you.
Do you all want to have a picinc? I was thinking about bringing my colman grill and some hot dogs or sausages. Food is important, very important.
NOAA is calling for 60% chance of snow, so hopefully not to much slush.

You can clearly see the chains on the front as well.
I'd say it's probably not a good idea to run chain on the front on road. I am also afraid that if I put them offroad, they will catch on the swaybar links or the body.

Technique? If hammer down in high range is technique then OK.....
I have a buddy with a YJ that ran chains front and rear on his 31" AT tires. That thing did really good, well until he lost 2 of them in some slush.

I have a compressor extra sausers and an eight year old girl. 90% probability of attendence and rising. This whole tire chain thing is mostly for the CHIP'ers correct!?! I have like three sets but none fit my XJ. I guess I could lace two together.....:explosion

That was some NASTY slush! I think he was stuck even if he had all 4 in that ugly mess! But the 4 did work great earlyer in the day in just the snow and up out of the mud.

Yeah, that's the one. I hated that crap, I got seriously stuck at least 3 times and blew up my AW4 for the last time. :gonnablow

wheeling 4 hours away the day before I leave for Nebraska doesnt seem like the brightest idea - that and the jeep that i have here is less than prepared - I had planned on putting a front tow point on it sometime this week - and am damn sure it wont get done before this weekend.
