That has crossed my mind, I'd need a bigger trailer to haul two toys out to Moab. It'd be to hard to have to decide which one to take.

Bones: If I do ever take out to an event that you're running, we'd be able to parts to ya quicker.

A true FAA Part 103 ultralight does not need licensing (under 254 lbs and slower than 55 mph). The FAA is changing/enforcing the rules and will require all "fat" ultralights (includeing two seaters) to be certified and N numbered. As far as insurance, check the fine print in your life insurance policy.
 
I knew that the FAA was changing a lot of that stuff. And that the EAA was also taking ahit on homebuilt stuff.
