Hi! I'm Brad, and I'm running for Midwest Chapter Treasurer.
I feel privileged to have been nominated for the position of Treasurer. I have been wanting to become more involved with the chapter, and I think this will be a great way to do that. This club has made me feel more than welcome, and quite simply is one of the best organizations I have been involved with.
I have been living and working as a software developer in Lafayette, Indiana for the past four years. Fortunately, this puts me close to our official events, such as Winterfest and the semi-annual trail cleanup at Redbird SRA. Both of these are on my "must-do" list every year, and I have been attending them since I became a member of
two years ago.
While I do not have much formal financial education or background, the Treasurer position is one which I would take very seriously. Winterfest is growing each year, and we continue to support local parks and trails each year. These activities are supported by our generous group of members, and I appreciate the opportunity to help use the chapter's funds wisely. Although I would have a lot to learn, I think I would work very well with our currently-elected officials.
In my opinion, there is not a bad candidate for any of the elected positions this year.
I would be happy to answer any questions to the best of my ability.
