My Music Folder

Looks like you have whole albums on there. I doubt you listen to all of it, all the time. If there is a song on my playlist that I may possibly not be in the mood to listen to, it's not on there. That keeps it relatively short.

FWIW I'm one of those odd guys that plays an album from beginning to end. I never embraced the random accessibility of non-vinyl. (ya think?!).

:D

in each artist folder there are subfolders for each album. i also took the time and tagged all the mp3s alike so that it didn't look so jumbled in itunes.

While where on the subject of music. I currently use Lime Wire, it's ok but not the greatest. Used to use Wherez 'till there last version started locking up my CPU. Have used Bear Share, liked the format but it was full of spyware. It says the pay for version doesn't contain all the spyware. Thinking of trying Ares, but there is no trial version to check out. SO what is some suggestions on the four? More or less I'm looking for the best selection/ the bigest librairy.

I jump between BearShare Pro (No, I did not pay for it ;) ) and IRC for full albums. Don't have any problems with spyware whatsoever.

Well, since we're all doing it... (sorry, this is kinda big, but when I made it smaller, the words weren't legible)

4000ish ain't too bad, but I never even have that much on my iPod at any given time anyway.

I just added up my dad's music: 20,033 songs. He is undoubtedly a complete music freak... :looney:

I don't have any music on my computer, but my collection of CDs spans many, many genres. Some of the artists I listen to often include Stevie Ray Vaughn and Double Trouble, Shootyz Groove, Grant Green, Neil Young, Buckwheat Zydeco, They Might Be Giants, AFI, The Allman Brothers Band, Bad Religion, America, Eric Clapton, Foreigner, The Eagles, Led Zeppelin, The Offspring, Jethro Tull, The Who, The Rolling Stones, ZZ Top, Gary Moore, Dire Straits, Eve6, Iron Maiden, Incubus, Alien Ant Farm, Smashing Pumpkins (and Zwan), Creedence Clearwater Revival, Black Sabbath, R.E.M., The Grateful Dead, U2, and those are just the ones I can think of off the top of my head. I even listen to polka, and some country music.

Ok i have lots of mp3's and vids, and very diverse.
I have rap, rock, classic rock, pop, country.

uTorrent, it's probably the best program I've ever used. The built in torrent searcher is very nice.

That my friend is full of addware, and spyware.

I've been using it for quite a few months now and no problems, havent noticed any spyware either.
It also doesnt slow your computer down half as much as limewire.

I back filled my collection of stuff with allofmp3.com. At ~$1.50 an album you can't go wrong. It's clean, no ad/spyware, even with the windows client they have for downloads (if you so choose; wget works great!).

Warning though, the WTO is making noises to the Russian Government that they won't be able to join unless they do the something about the copyright violations at Russian downloading sites (allofmp3 directly mentioned).

Use it but don't keep a balance any larger than you are comfortable with losing. I normally flip up $20 at a time... That keeps me going for days at a time chasing whims.

Love allofmp3.com, except for the fact that Wells Fargo automatically refuses my credit card on that site due to so much fraud. I have to call them every time I want to refill my balance to tell them to accept it. However, that does keep me from refilling my balance too often.
