MY jeep is gone :(

My jeep caught fire yesterday. The whole front of the jeep and the passenger side seat andash motor is shot. Flames were up over the roof. Fire in the shop led to burnt fuel line which had the whole thing on fire in 2 seconds went through 4 fire extinguishers and still wouldn't put it out.

i was working on the rear end so the tires were off of it. it is a total wash. It sucks. I am going to try and spare the suspension. I had a rustys long arm. I hope the front axle is okay. The rear axle was fine last night. The cover maybe shot but the axle was okay.

I hate to make it worse. But that much heat on the suspension. I dont know if I would trust it man. My bet would be it is brittle. Even thou it looks good it has prob lost all give and is hardend beyond use. It would snap like a twig the first bump you hit. That sucks. Hang in there. It can only get better. Right?

You mean the heat that melted the tires?????? I would just change the bushings and run it.

I don't know of any company that does a post weld heat treat and I am willing to bet, welds got the components at least twice as how as that fire got.

Almost lost mine in the woods. Just about out and I had seen the flames coming from the cowel hood. At first I smell what I thought was tranny fluid then the steering went hard and I knew what was happening. I shut it off and grab the fire extinguisher and got it out. The return hose slid off the the pump from all the use it got alittle warm. Same day my tranny lost reverse.

If I had left it go and wasn't able to get it out it would of been a total lost. I was about 10 miles out of town for them to find me and get it out would of been lots of this :flame: :flame: .

I found a four door yesterday for 450 in decent shape with the roof already cut. Going to cage it, and put my lift under it. I know a metalurgist that is going to come take a look at it thursday to see what he thinks but I am thinking it is okay. Lift will be under my new one this week and the cage will be on order later today

that happened to my buddy only he rolled it in a feild then a buddy reached in and pulled the dome light to save the battery(he was drunk). well..... it was cooked. It had like 50 12 ga shells in it too

it looks like alittle bit of heat got to the tire...

unless thats dry rot but the rest of the tire looks fine
