Man I really wanted to go this weekend but I have no extra money. And I'm bbqing and watching the game at my buddies house

3 link is much better than y links, but the clayton crossmember brings the suck.
it looks to only mount with 4 bolts. not nearly strong enough. you will be much better off building your own with round dom tubing & a crossmember that mounts with more bolts to more of the frame rails.

Hmmm that's a good point. I have done a lot of research on the Clayton x member because I was gonna use the y link mount and never heard anything bad about them. I would love to build my own but I just don't have the tools for that (or the time for that matter). My jeep is my daily so it can't be out of commission for that long. Would it be that hard to drill one more hole per side do make it 6 mounting bolts as opposed to 4?

Re: Re: My First XJ Build

^^ Ive read some mixed reviews on him and his stuff. Have you looked at poly performance?

Hmm that's unfortunate. I guess well see what pops up.
Yes I have a while ago. From what I remember they don't have an x member? Just the mounts? Id have to look again.

for a bolt on system, go with t&t's y link setup. hands down the best y link on the market plus it includes a t-case / belly skid.
for a street / trail rig this is very hard to beat unless you can fab up your own crossmember & 3 link system.
