Its next to Lake Alpine, just past the Bear Valley Ski resort up highway 4. Amazing trail. If you dont care about your rockers and are fine being yanked from the axle or something if you get stuff, then come on up!
well it can't get much worse than it already is. the rockers are getting cut off anyway. what day? and does anyone know where I can get a plexy glass windshield
That was quick! At least you're having fun and no one was hurt. Maybe I'll drive up Sunday an hang out by the stairs and watch you guys. Don't trust the d35 on 33s
my buddy last night drove his 30/35 wrangler on 33's open/open. he's a much a better driver than I and that thing goes anywhere
he's been riding it hard for years
max control shocks from autozone. they're starting to loosen up a bit. still very minimal body roll. I don't think I can make it to slick rock just yet. I'm gonna go play around PC and lick my wounds the rest of the weekend. gotta find a spare cherokee I can cut up
didnt take a picture. but I got towed from PC today. got there and was just driving around in 2wd and pop went a D30 differential seal. started leaking fluid out of the driver side axle. it's sitting at 4wheelparts waiting for a fix
it's been a very discouraging couple weeks. I'm quitting out till next summer
Seals are easy. Just do both. Pull the axles and the carrier and use some pipe to knock the old ones out and the new ones in. Totally doable in an afternoon. I picked up the pipe at home depot. Cost about $30 plus the seals and rtv and gear oil.
damn I wish I knew that. I was in a bind and didn't know what to do. could only afford 1 tow. I just cant catch a break with this thing I feel like I'm driving on eggshells and the front axle is made of glass
I'm gonna be afraid to wheel the damn thing at this rate
you can drive around on a bad seal. didnt need to tow it. my buddy bill has been driving around on a busted pass side. just keep it full. not a big deal.
it was pouring out diff fluid though. idk I didn't know better so I just had it towed to be safe
also my tcase is popping in and out of 4. and wont engage the front axle in 4hi
I did forget to put the star shaped rubber whatevers on the new output shaft with the SYE
popping outta 4 makes me think linkage or shift forks. the star shaped washer on the rear output shaft will do nothing to make it pop outta 4.
basically if adjusting and greasing up the linkage don't fix it , pull the case off, and if you cant see whats wrong, take it to a place like manual transmission warehouse, I've used them before to put a few t cases back together that i didn't think i would do right...
