sarcasm? he actually is a great spotter. I just wasnt listening lol. yeah renos always a good time!

Me, sarcasm ...... It looks pretty knarly out there for sure. I did learn that if you straighten out your wheels you won't tip so much when you are going over large rocks.

finally stripped my parts D30. chromos and 1 ton crossover added to my rig

teraflex histeer knuckle

quick trip to ruffstuff for some parts

I'm not at all happy with the way the angles look. I think I want to figure out how to put the drag link underneath the upper knuckle for a better angle but I'm worried about binding. for now, it's nice and tight and it'll drive great after I get an alignment

Looks great! Super jealous of that high steer knuckle.

whats the length eye to eye on trackbar and draglink? its possible that you might need to get some inner C gussets, and then bring the trackbar all the way to the knuckle to get the same length. at that point youll have to get new spring mounts to put the springs flush with the front of the axle. that or deal with the bump steer.

Id box in the pass side UCA mount and tie the trackbar mount into that real well, and then add additional gusseting to the trackbar mount to the axle. I saw a YJ with a ruffstuff trackbar axle side mount rip it right off on slick rock last.

thanks man. I think this setup is pretty unnecessary and some bolt on 1 ton would've been just as well. but damn do I love the way this looks. I should've been doing a WJ swap but I'm done putting big money into this setup

Jon aint nobody got time fo dat!
there's a lot of things I could be doing to this axle but where does it end. and I don't believe in moving my weak point in the housing from one place to the next with small braces all over the place. if I'm going to reinforce it it's going to get fully trussed. but I'm not looking to put that much effort into it. I trust the deeply penetrated thick welds on there

I didn't even measure lengths. I just made the TB as long as I could fit. I'll try to remember to take measurements

holy bumpsteer batman!
pretty sure you are not supposed to do a double offset trackbar with heims on both ends. it can roll off center & bind i think. also looks like it will make contact with your oil pan when the driver side flexes up & the pass side droops. did you check for clearance at full bump & droop before burning everything in?

I knoww! the angles are gonna drive me nuts. even though there hasn't been any obvious bumpsteer.. yet. I can't decide how to fix it. re-drill the knuckle and put the drag link underneath? I'm worried about binding and clearance. I don't think I can make the axle mount higher for fear that it will definitely hit the oil pan. it clears fine as it is now

I'll check into the double offset with heims. I've never heard of that

looks like all the setups on google they're running the drag link under the knuckle. so I guess it must not have many binding issues. I'll see if I can add re-drilling and welding a new insert into the knuckle to the list for this weekend. either way this setup is 10x better than the stock setup. I'll ask ruffstuff about the double offset TB and if they say it's no good I'll grab another piece of DOM and some inserts. probably will still need 1 bend to clear the diff cover

here's a few pics from the trip and still frames from the video. I'll post my damage later when I take pics

Dillon's John Deere Scout. clean

this was all I could fit. bout 4x that many people/trailers were there

the crack was the main event the whole trip

Chad's prerunner. had a lot of fun riding around in this thing

Well I went on a spontaneous trip to fordyce

What a crap show

I tore a sidewall, broke a driveline, and bent a shock
And that was the easy stuff. We dragged my buddies rig back to the trail head
