Any advice on where/ where NOT to live? Im leasing my current house out down here by Houston, so ill have to rent for a year or so. Just looking for advice on where may be best to rent. Have two kids under five.Looking in Moore and Edmond so far.

moore is a great area--as well as edmond. Wont go wrong either way. In moore...dont go north too much and in edmond dont go south too much! Best bet between moore and norman newer and nicer homes.

Agree with Moore. I'm there and it's a pretty decent place to raise a family. Pretty much stay out of NE OKC. South OKC (south of 59th) is pretty decent but mostly working class. North of 59th is mostly Hispanic between I-44 and I-35. NW OKC has its good spots and bad spots, though the further NW you go it does get nicer.

Yep Moore is a great place to live..South part of moore both east and west of I35 have some nice newer neighborhoods so you can go wrong..

:roflmao: @ not Oklahoma, I was thinkin the same thing

I just moved here as well, I like Mustang. I work on this side of town, so it's easy for me. Mustang has the small town feel I'm used to.

Thats what were looking for too. How small town is it, like "one blinking light" small town? Or "one wall mart" small town?
I see your profile stll says "Rockport, TX" on it, which isnt too far from here.
I really want land more than a house. Not too proud for a double wide, as long as i can play. Ill build a house later.

Yeah, I need to update my profile. Rockport isn't where I'm from, just where I was at last. Mustang has the small town feel like a small farm town does but with lots of amenities. It's clean and the people are friendly. It has all the things we used to drive 45 minutes for, Lowe's, 4 parts stores, and a nice walmart. I don't know about the schools, but they are clean and well kept from the outside. Can't imagine a place with such strong community spirit having poor schools.

Hello Oklahoma,
Please consider the date of the thread before you respond to it. That being said, I know of no places to wheel in OK other than Disney. Don't know where it is, but it's a pretty small wimpy state. Can't be too far.

i live near downtown okc..where r sum good wheeling spots around?

there are 3 or 4 local wheeling spots depending on what you want to do. Im in South OKC and will have the jeep ready to play again seriously in a month or two, in the meantime i could take it out and show you the places to go-but even that will be a couple weeks at least. Whats your jeep setup like?
