i can start my jeep and it will idle fine for a round a minute and then out of no where it starts to chock its self out.the rpm's jump from 0 to 1 and 2 thousand.then when ever i take a turn it will die with out a hesitation.i can even put it in nutral and rive it up in a turn to try to keep it stated and it still dies i have replaced the filted yesterday and the time has been replaced.help meeeeeeee

its a 88 xj with the I6 fuel injection with 179,000 + miles

I'm just gonna take a stab in the dark but did you check your fuel pump? It could also mean your injecters could be plugged. Do you have power or just enough to rev the motor?

It could be your coil too, plugs distibutor, possibly even altenator, it could be anything. What else does it do besides idle irradically and die?

update.i have changed on saterday the sparkplugs, wires, coil, rotor, fuel filter and thats it i cant change the timing because it is not adjustble.the motor will idle great but with a slight up and own in the idle slight maybe 200 rpms not very much.when i put it in a gear the motor will begin to hesitat and pause, then when i start to go any movement side to side or bump will make it start to jump from 1000-3000 rpms with out worning and if i turn even to change lanes it will stall.what else do i need to change.fule pumps just go out i though not act up.what sensors are there for me to change that could be it map, egr, are new or in good testing, tps, crank positioning sensor what i need help this thing is driving me crazy

once that type of thing happened to me as well, it turned out to be just a badly clogged fuel filter in my case, $7 , and about 5 minutes later and all was fine, but if not that, I would guess fuel pump, mine just went out a couple weeks ago after "acting up" a little
