I don't know this fellow but a good friend of mine, who passed away several years ago, built the truck that he was driving when he went missing. I know several members of the family and thought maybe some of my XJ friends on the left coast might chime in if they have seen him or the truck.

Here is a link to the FB page they set up for him.

I'd appreciate if somebody has seen him or the truck to post up.

Thanks,
Ed

It is a 1972 IH 3/4 ton longbed crewcab 4x4. It's a big truck. It also has a 1st Gen 5.9 Cummins engine in it. Cream in color. License plate is 1LONGIH.

My good friend Jeff built that truck but he was killed in a motorcycle accident in 2005. I had never seen any pictures of it until this happened.

I hope he is found safe.

Apparently he has been found and is safe. This is from the FB page mentioned above.

"Jason has been found safe, but is not home yet. We are so thankful for all your support and help in locating him. We ask that you please respect his privacy at this time, as well as the privacy of his family and friends. Thank you again for all your help. We are beyond grateful and overwhelmed by the support and prayers and help."

Thanks! I just read the same thing. Maybe everything will work out.

im glad they found him . I was reading about this and thinking man how does he go missing from san ramon to dublin? did he take back roads? Its also weird to ask for everyones help in a serious emergency type situation that he went missing and put it all on the table and then ask people not to ask about it. I want to know where he went.

nice. dude just needed to get away and go gambling!

Not to be an alarmist but over the last three years several young men have gone missing in the bay area. This story on the news and then the post by Pacific Ed made me think, oh crap here we go again. The news media does a little blip on the radar but the stories do not generate near the coverage required. The mother's of the missing hold a candle light vigil on Mother's Day Eve to call attention to the fact their sons are missing.

So good to read he was found safe.
