Midwest Craig's list Thread

That's what I was thinking. The other pics show a rust monster lurking, but he says the floors are solid.

I might take a look at this xj over the weekend. About an hour and a half away, it seems like a decent deal.

But that reciever hitch looks very rusty, which makes me nervous about the whole rest of the body.

wish i had the cash for that as a DD!

So many of the ones I see, the pics have the rockers in shadow. That one shows them and they look fine. Maybe repaired? The hitch and hatch definitely look scary.

And every time I hear "the floors are solid" I think of my buddy getting in the back of my '65 Mustang. I warned him the floors weren't so good, but he said "they feel solid to me" He was standing on the ground!

The outside is fairly neat, the doors are all rusted on the inside and the seat brackets are rusty.

Can't imagine what the leaf spring bolts look like.

Somebody didn't have good floormats. My seat bases are the same way in the 97.

Leaf bolts would probably require all the swear words the rest of them do in the Midwest.

Just went at looked at a couple more this morning. '01 Limited, not my favorite year but I like Limited. "No rust except on the bumper" - I guess the door bottoms and top of the windshield don't count.

'96 sport, again not my favorite year but one owner. "No rust except on rocker boards, previously repaired but coming back" - I guess floors don't count either. And it had so many door dings it looked like someone gave a bored three-year-old a ball peen hammer to play with.

Haha hell I didn't read it or look at any pictures other than the cover photo, just saw it had 57k miles.
