Last Wednesday of the month is this week. Who's in, for On The Border on Truxel? Wednesday about 6:00 or so. Anyone need directions?

I've got a meeting in concord so I won't be making it.

I'd go, but I'm taking a look at the 91' xj for sale in San Rafael with my brother-in-law Nate, you met him Phil in his Dodge Ram Hemi. He likes xj's now that I've been working on mine at his parents house. You know me and tracking down jeeps, it sure is addicting. How's yours coming along Phil? Hope you can come on the runs mid August. Hope you guys get a good showing at the m&g.

I really didn't like the On the Boarder suggestion last time. It's too much of a PITA to do it all on one check and then figure out what every body had and do the tax and tip. Let's get it back to a pizza place where everybody can order their own and pay separately. Plus the beer is cheaper and they have pitchers at the pizza places.

I agree with SeanP. Maybe someone can find a pizza place near On The Border?
I'll show up where ever is decided. :wave1:

The Boonie Bouncers 4x4 club meets at: Club meetings are held on the first Wednesday of each month at 7:30 PM, @ Mountain Mikes Pizza, located at 361 Roseville Square, Roseville, CA. It is a nice big place and they we can even set up a tv for watching a 4x4 video of our past runs. We should try to get in there. We should be able to get our last wednesday of the month there. They also have a good pizza & salad bar buffet there after you pay your $5-7 or something like that. It is in a decent location right off of I-80 off of the Douglas Blvd Roseville exit. Here's the link to the map where it's located: http://www.booniebouncers.com/image...eting_Place.gif

Roseville is the wrong way for me, but if two people can agree on a spot, and I can make it, I'll be the third. Truxel area is better for me, both now when I'm working in Sac, and in the fall when I'm back at school here in Davis.

[hijack] I took the XJ out on a trial run on Sunday, up to BLM land at Knoxville (town of Lower Lake). When I get my XJ Nation case skid and install it, and install my hitch, I should be good.

If that's Aaron's XJ that I looked at before, I thought it was nice. If I was willing to get a 4-door, I probably would have picked it up.[/hijack]

Hijack response: Yeah, I was surprised when he (Aaron Russell) said he knew you. He said that at the time he was selling last year, you were in the process of lifting your mj. Did Aaron buy the dana 30 off of you? It's still at your parents house in Napa right? My brother-in-law, Nate, bought it last night. We made it out of Sac despite the huge fire that I just barely avoided where I work in S Sac. It's a nice Jeep with tons of potential. I'm looking for some drop brackets now for it, and a steering brace/plate. The steering box bolt broke in the box and needs to be tapped out. So Aaron agreed to split the cost of a trailer because he is getting some vehicle up in Reno and deliver the xj to Nate. Cannot wait to start working on it.

So did anybody make it anywhere? Sorry I missed it (again).

I'll third Steve's and make it official for next month until we change our minds :)

Roseville seems like it would be better for most.

Sean is right there
Billy's real close too
1/2 hour drive for Andy or on his way home from Sac
1/2 hour drive from Davis for Phil
30-40 minutes for me from Grass Valley/Auburn
didn't Gary move near Roseville?

....

I'm just 2 miles down the road from Billy by the Sunrise Mall in CH. I like having it on Wednesday. The MM in Roseville is a good place and right off of I-80 and has plenty of room & we can set up a TV if we want.

If people would show up for one in Roseville AND one around Truxel, like two weeks apart (mid and end of the month or so) I'd probably be all over both.

To pick one, though, I'd go for Steve's Place.

Twice a month sounds good, so we can hopefully get everyone locally then.

I'm with Phil. If you guys are all so close then it doesn't matter if you drive another 10 minutes. I'm driving an hour and a half to get there. I don't want to go any further.

That's fair. I know you guys have a commute. Whatever, as long as I can see all your smiling faces gathered in 1 place at 1 time. :D XJ brotherhood is a beautiful thing.
