Dan our state is not crappy by any means it's the people running it that is killing what it use to be! I think it's obvious! We have the best all around wheeling- desert, sand, beach (Pismo), crawling, and we have the Rubicon and even snow wheeling. It all may be lost to the clowns in Sac with all the closures and such. They keep lining their pockets and their buddies pockets with our taxes. Why do I have to get an adventure pass for what I've already paid for why is the beach sites and parks closed or run down when I've paid for them already! How is an account with 55 million in it found after they said there was no money. Hello Beuller, Beuller, that's called miss management. If you did that with $1000.00 at your job or personal finances you'd be fired!

I'm set I have a house paid for in Lk Hav. Az also. If the heat gets too much we'll jump in my pusher and head to Durango where I went to school and have friends. The only CRYING I'll be doin is to the bank when my house goes back up and I sell it, and it will ,because there's always star gazed or loco's always wanting to come to Calif. But my tears will be of Joy as I cash that check and wave good bye.

Hey Doc don't take it personal from some of these guys. Some of them have never been outside of their county let alone the state. My closest friend born and raised in Riverside had never even been to Mexico or Vegas. We went and he didn't even have a passport when they were 1st requiring them to get back in. We had trouble and were held up for an hour about 5 or more years ago. I did not know he did not bring one.

Fair enough, it's a stereotype and a sore spot, I get it. For the record, I like Utah a lot. Great skiing, climbing, wheeling, national parks; not to mention a flat income tax, low sales tax and lax gun laws. I've also bent an elbow more than once at the No Name Saloon in Park City so I understand how the alcohol thing works.

Sure there's a lot to dislike about Cali - gun control, sanctuary cities, messed up politics and budget woes, blah, blah, blah. I often think about moving when I'm stuck in insane traffic coming home from work, but I choose to stay here. I've lived in all four corners of the country and despite all the BS, LA is still my fave. It has a lot to offer and living here has allowed me the opportunity to do a lot of things that I never would have been able to do living in a smaller city.
 
Exactly my point Rockclimber. Wow you don't catch on too quickly! They funnel thru the harshest part of the country because it is hard to patrol then migrate to Cali., N.Mex. Utah, Colo., and Az. but know that Az can check status that may change. Oh and last time I checked Arizona was trying to stop illegals from residing there, but now parts of San Diego, San Fransisco, L.A. declared themselves sanctuary cities. Parts of San Diego are pretty close wouldn't you say if your not sure check Google maps that should help! You are a lot closer to most those cities than Arizona is. Besides that wasn't really my choice because Colo or Idaho would have been but the house is paid for and I don't need to shovel snow, the wheelings good and I can carry a fire arm to protect OUR rights! So-Cal Rocks!!!!!! im with Dan (vanimal) north county...close to ALL. Temecula, murrieta, (southern riverside co.) is real nice, and lots of new development, growing city, great schools ect ect.. You'll enjoys us. come on down!!! lots to do here. Did i mention born and raised in San Diego :)

i didnt grow up in CA, i've been around.
I guess if you can't take the heat, quit your bitchin and get out of the kitchen. or put out the fire. otherwise, i'm sick of hearing it.

The difference is, everything I have to say about California...both good and bad have come from personal experience. I don't base my opinions off of what others think or say but from things I have dealt with personally. There are really only two things I hear people bitch about with Utah....Beer and Mormons. On both issues most people have very little experience and totally misunderstand. Especially Mormons. I've yet to have a single person who is really bitching about Mormons give me a good reason why they are bitching and when I try to nail them down about the religion they seldom understand anything about it. I'm not Mormon by the way. I've just lived around and dealt with them my whole life.

I didn't come here to convince YOU about YOUR state. That would be stupid. If you are living there you obviously either like it or you are stuck. Either way, I don't care. I'm only trying to keep someone from MY chapter from making what I think is a bad mistake. I understand that might piss you off...I really don't care because again...I'm not trying to convince you or anyone else in your chapter of anything.

ooooohh my god, i left my windows down for 4 years in the same driveway and someone FINALLY stole my $90 stereo in the bad part of town, and got caught. the state is going to fall into the ocean, we're all going to die. i'm so stupid for wanting to live in an area where i can do whatever i want, any time of the year. what was i thinking. i should move back to a state where nobody wants to live so i can be stuck inside for half the year because it's either too hot or too cold out to do a damn thing. that makes more sense, so i can save 30 cents on a gallon of gas, shoot those guns i dont own or care to own, and avoid those liberal extremists whom i never talk to or met.
