May Photo Assignment: Flowers

April showers bring May flowers.

Maybe this one was to early. Especially for those in and around the mountains. Its been rainy here all month.

Our mountains have 15 feet of snow still but my flowers in the yard are doing nicely.

Well I don't know the rules of this thread, nor was this taken with a good camera, nor do i have any knowledge of photography. BUT it has flowers in it:

Been busy all month with outside work, and damn has it been some crappy weather here in the Midwest. The few days it hasn't been raining, it's either been way too hot and humid, or 40's and windy. Sweating in shorts one day, freezing in long pants, flannel, and sweatshirt the next.

So, on a day they closed a Chicago beach early because people were dropping from heat exhaustion, the wife and I worked on the yard all day :dunce:

Got the waterfall cleaned up and running...



And got a few pics of flowers...

Flowers in the desert and at home.

First are at the The Living Desert - Zoo and Botanical Gardens east of Palm Springs, Calif.

Next are California Poppies in our front yard. Here in So. Cal. many of the native flowering plants are already past their peak.
