Max Tire Size for Alum Rims

I have a 92 XJ with the "spoke" style stock 15 x 7" aluminum rims. I would like to go to a 31 x 10.50 All Terrain tire but wonder about turning clearance.

I have about 3-1/2" of lift righ now. Is this enough?

I have a 3.5" lift and stock alum rims with 31x10.50's. They rub at full lock on the lower control arm, but since it is a nice round arm it doesn't really bother me. Not sure about when articulated...my truck doesn't see much offroad.

Yes .. they'll rub a bit. No big deal unless you drive in circles all day.

Yes ... 3-1/2" is enough.
