I don't see how this is possible. IPAC will know that you are married because of the DEERs system. With your wife being deployed she had to make changes to her RED, POA, and will.

Sounds to me like you took the easy way out of doing what "WE" as Marines do. The needs of the Corps will always come before the individual Marine.

I have never respected any Marine who finds a way to get out of orders. I have deployed 10 times in 16 years and moved across country 6 times. It is my job and I knew that I would be required to uproot my family when ever Uncle Sam tells me too.

Gunny, the needs of the Corps were not the issue at hand. my wifes monitor had no idea that my wife and i are attached. i dont know how it was missed because i went to IPAC and verified that in fact all the info is and was right.

finding my way out of orders was not the case. being separated from my wife for 2 yrs all because some one else wasnt doing their job properly was the deal. all we wanted was to be co-located i tried to get orders to cali and was warming up to the idea. when i called my monitor to see WTF was up he told me that he didnt have a spot for me in cali. then he dung deeper and found that her monitor had screwed up.

send us to anywhere in the world as nessary but try to keep us together. all i want. and since we both love NC, and i was asked, i told em so. im not dodging orders Gunny. iv been to the sand box not as many times as you but plenty. iv seen 15 other countries (that dont have sand in them.) shess been away for nearly 9 months at this point and its killed me. all i wanted to have my wife at least on the same coast as me and our son. and the fact that i achieved that makes me feel amazing.

well we didnt get the same place. she is goin to pendelton. and me to miramar. its like 48 miles apart so they can do that and be in the 50 mile zone. its sucky.

neither one of us want to go there.

I thought you both were cut orders? Now all of a sudden there was a glitch in the monitor Matrix?

i had been told that they would work out getitng me orders. they had not. a break down in communication on the end of my wifes monitor caused the confusion.

at no point did i EVER have orders. cherry point is the place i was put 3 some odd yrs ago. my monitor has NO inclination to move me right now.

i apologize for not clearing that up i had forgot that i mentioned it.


simple version:
wife is in iraq.
wife gets web orders to cali
i have no orders anywhere
trying to figure all this out for like a month

talked to my monitor directly and asked about my orders.
monitor is stumped
he goes and talks to her monitor
explains the situation to her
orders go away due to my monitor not wanting to move me.

for right now we are staying in NC
we might go to japan or new york or texas or hell cali one day but not anytime soon.
