Will this work with my NV4500?

Great idea, reseach, and development. I hope you are able to build a nice little business from all your work on this project. I'm sure you know this, but make sure you get patten/copyrights before someone steals your work!

You've probably already checked out video game controlls, but if not, some have up/down momentary switches and or "gear shift" controls. I've been away from arcades for some years, but could hook you up with some good techs in that field who might know exactly which game control panel parts to use. PM me if I can help.

I have a ZJ, but my son has a XJ and is very interested in your kit!

This may be a lame question about this mod but will it allow me to shift while in 4lo out of 1st into 2nd without having to hit the redline? :wierd:

As I understand any of these mods there is no second, just 1st, 3rd and 4th.

You can shift from 1st to 2nd while in 4L. You can shift from 1st to 2nd while in 4H. You can shift from 2nd to 3rd, 3rd to 2nd, 2nd to 1st, hell, you can shift from 1st to 3rd. You can shift at redline, you can shift at idle.

I put one of Brett's kits in my 93 and it rocks. I love having control over which gear I'm in on the trail yet retaining the option of using the automatic setting on certain hillclimbs. Being able to lock the torque converter on steep downhills is another big bonus.

A few questions:

1. What happens if I start it in a gear other than A or 1 and procede to go forward.

2. If im in 3 or 4 and have to stop, does it stall out? Hurt tranny?

3. Im in any gear can I just switch to A.

Thats about it from me, looks like you have a great product.

1. The tranny (torque convertor) will be slipping extra and will generate a bit of extra heat. Not a big deal at all to be stopped with it in 2, 3, or 4, but if you try to start going in one of those gears it will generate a bunch of heat, especially in 4. If you try starting in 3 or 4 you will definitely notice the vehicle feeling much more sluggish, doing this occasionally won't do any major damage, but don't make a practice of it.

2. Similar to above, it won't stall, and it generates slightly more heat when sitting at a stop but a lot more if you start in 4th and keep going. (less heat created in 3rd, and even less in 2nd)
