I understand the idea behind controlling the two valve body solenoids, but how does the switch control the Direct clutch, forward clutch, second brake, second coast brake, first/reverse brake, one way clutches 1 & 2, overdrive brake, overdrive direct clutch, and overdrive one way clutch? are all of these just secondary components controlled by the two solenoids? and do the 1-2, 3, and D positions controlled by the kickdown cable have nothing to do with how the trans. operates?

quick question, what wire are you guys tapping in to for the power to the awshifter?

Since you got the manual only version, I assume you mean the 12v power supply? I used a location on the fusebox labeled IGN and used a 5A inline fuse.

Just don't do an always on source or it will drain your battery slowly. This stuff is of no concern for the guys using the manual/auto version since all its connections are made at the TCU plug.

Alright, I have the awshifting brain box all hooked up, but my jeep still won't start. Any ideas on what might be wrong? Maybe the tps? Does the brain box need to have power in order for the jeep to start?

this is the controller i bought does anyone know how to install.. or maybe have bretts instructions help me!!!! sorry for diggin up an old post
