Wrapping up the S. Korean tour is a parting shot of our host, Tom R.....posing at the most forward Checkpoint #3, where he's surrounded on 3 sides by N. Korea.
Thanks again, Tom.

What I want to know is how many big fish they fit into this little boat?

Well on this day it was only 3 Kings, which we were shy of our limit by one. Only allowed one King a day, 2 a year on the Kenai.

As of late folks, I was the last one to have the plate. (again)

I was fortunate enough to be able to spend my vacation doing some serious fishing up on the Kenai Peninsula in Alaska.

I went with my next door neighbor Matt (cj matt), his 70 year old father Larry, and the 'Plate'.

Here are the 2 fish we caught (07/06). Like I said, we were short one fish for our limlt this day.

The right next to me is the 60 ponder I caught, and the other one is a 50 pounder caught by Larry. Matt got skunked both days.

Although I took the plate fishing with me, this fishing trip turned out to be a very busy/exhausting trip. On the water by 5 am, in bed by 7-8 pm. Bottom line is I didn't take as many pictures as I wanted (or get drunk), but I got a few. More will follow.

Thanks JohnJohn,

Dan.

PS For those of you who wonder about fishing in Alaska, it's NOT cheap, but well worth it.

wow those are some big damn fish!

Not really, Dan is what they prefer to be called "Little Person". He stands 3'2" tall.

The motley fishing crew. I was designated driver, so no beer in hand for me until back in camp. :(

What I want to know is what farmer got liquored up enough to drive his tractor into
the ocean and figured out he could make a living launching boats for the local fishing charter skippers.

I mean really, who figured it out?
