Those are stock Mustang GT 17s, I have a set laying around and wondered what they would look like on an XJ. Look pretty good actually. I agree that looks much better then lowering. The only lowered Jeep that looks good are the old MJs that were raced in the late 80s-early 90s in that roadracing series. Can't remember what it was called, but the MJs were red and I think sponsored by Craftsman.uvaldetxj said:Don't lower it, put some bigger rims. It'll look much better. Check out this site http://qwkjeep.com that guy has 18's i think. That Cherokee looks pretty good.

xuv-this said:wow. that's funny. it's like a diy lift; but backwards. pics? check out the kit in the air bag lift thread in the modified tech forum. it's a airbag 4-link for the rear!

That would really push the tires into the fender well. RE has a flip kit for the MJ for thier 5.5" lift kit, So I'm figuring that it would drop the rear 5.5" since you're doing the opposite... right??

Count the coils you take off and do the MOST a half a coil at a time to make sure you don't cut too much off. Mark it with masking tape and make note of how much it dropped.
