looking for locker(C8.25 27 spline LSD)

hey guys,im new to , im really interested in buying a locker for my C8.25 27 spline W/ LSD i understant the differences between most rear ends and the strength, but this is my way of just fixing up what i have. i know its difficult to find a locker to fit this LSD housing, any suggestion on what company and brand?

You are correct in that it is difficult. As in an impossible type of difficult. The carrier will need to be replaced so...

ARB for a selectable or another option would be the Detroit locker. In any event, the carrier is going to go. I suppose, one could swap in a standard carrier and add a lunch box locker to it.

Upgrading the shafts to 29 spline can be done via the JY. If the carrier is going to be replaced, might as well do the axles. You can get a complete axle here in the U Pull and Pay for just over $100.00. Shafts go for less than $25.00 each. Watch your Chapter For Sale Section for stock axles. I mean, I just gave away a Dana 30 to a Chapter Red Letter Member...

thanks o-gauge-steamer, i appreciate your knowledgable info. Will look at maybe switching out the whole rear end if thats the case if its so difficult. ill keep you guys posted for fun, got a winch project right now, my next step is to go locker. thanks again!
