Will I need lift parts and lockers, Yes I will.

Just to let you know, I have a RE MJ 5.5" Extreme lift and brand new D44 Detroit Softlocker for sale.
I'm just a couple of minutes north of E.G. off S.Watt.

Sacto_Patrol: Did you find yourself a 2 door xj yet? Remember the internet is your friend and you can do a lot of searching if you know where and what to look for. The autotrader is a great resource and I have always used it to buy & sell my many vehicles I've had throughout the years.

Not yet I'm still bounding away. The one in Daly City was gone before I could make it there and found to others that were 2 wheel drive. Theres a 1991 that looks clean but I'm thinking I want something newer. I will find it, better be quick cause I have been looking at WJ's :)

Yeah, the 2 door is hard to find compared to all the 4 doors you'll see for sale; especially when you look for 97'+ xj's. A 91' 4.0L is not that different from up to 98' or so. The 99' got a nice intake, but that was in response to higher emmission standards that dropped the hp by 10, so the new intake gave back 10-15 hp. I have a 91' 2 door sport and I have seen a few more 2 door 91' sports on the street as they have the 2 tone stripe down the side. A 91' hi-output/231/4 speed auto would be the best combo and is well documented as a long running combo. I have 204K miles on mine with the original engine & tranny and it runs great. Keep checking autotrader, here, sacbee, etc. and you should be able to find 1 within the next month or so, but there really isn't anything wrong with the 4 door, but if you have your mind on a 2 door, maybe also look at any mj's you see along the way.

Well looks like I just bought a 99 2 Door. Should be shipped here from Colorado this week. Will get it probably next week. So things are looking up.

Cool, do you have any pics and/or specs on it? Where did you find it?

Found it on Pirate, it is a '99 SE with 5 Speed. 8.25 rear non abs with trak loc. 109,xxx miles. Has roof rack, sliders, 30" BFG's, and 2 speaker stereo :D

How much??? Looks nice with all the goodies you'd want. The 8.25 29 spline/dana 30 with 297 u-joints/2 door/lower miles 109K, etc. I wish I would have kept my 95' se 4 door I bought over ebay from the Oregon Govt surplus for $3K, it was a base model too, but had 4 wheel drive, ac, auto, no center councel etc. I just tore out the carpet & herculined it. I was going to build it up, but then I came across the good deal on my 91' that was decently built and went that route. Now that my 98' zj has a blown tranny, I wish I would have kept it and then just added a center councel, cd player, 31's and 3" lift and have it as my dd with my 91' xj I have now on 35's as my wheeler. Good find though Sactopatrol.

More then what I would of paid. However I was tired of looking and it had everything I wanted, paid mid $5K.

That's a good price, don't beat yourself up my friend, you got what you wanted and it has some slight mods and low miles, plus it's the newer body style. Not to shabby.

Well the XJ is at my house now.

Have alot of cleaning up to do, need to take alot of rust off ( more then what I was told about), and replace belts and fix drivers door (only opens half the time).

So the rear springs are flat as hell. Will start looking for lift in a couple of weeks nad tires. Still up in the air on Bushwackers or flareless. I have a feeling Elk Grove PD will not let me go flareless for to long.

Lots of work ahead of me, talk to you later. Oh and let me know if someone has 3 to 3.5" lift (maybe higher) coming up for sale.

I still have an RE 5.5" MJ lift for sale. It's lacking rear springs and braces for the front drop brackets.
