Looking for 29 spline 8.25 carrier & spiders

Hey all,

I need to locally find a 29 spline 8.25 spiders and carrier gears for an open carrier and also a factory traclok too. PM Me if you are looking to get rid of these. for free is ideal.

Just need to borrow them for a little while

Got the carrier in Lancaster. 29 spline trac-lock out of a 02 Liberty. Not sure if it will work or not, IIRC they come machined for tone ring for the speedo pickup and might be different than an XJ?? LMK if it will work.

I think it might be different. I'm not really sure. I'll see if anyone else has the XJ one just to make sure. If not, I'll let you know. They put the tone ring in the rear diff on the kjs?

Yes on the tone ring. It is one of the reasons I will be sticking to the 8.25 in my SFA KJ project. I was going to run a D44 TJ rear but I won't have a speedo then and the computer won't like it. Anyhow, LMK if you think it will work.


Will the 29 spline spiders be a direct swap for the 27 spline? I have the set of KJ 29 spline spiders if they would work in an XJ carrier.

then u can use my carrier josh, i can bring it to the MG tuesday. i think they are the same size, the carriers use the same bearings.

The 27 spline carrier has to be honed out where the shafts go through, 29 spline shafts won't fit.

You can do it, just have to chuck it up on a lathe or such.

the KJ trakloc will fit in the xj there is no difference between them, and long as both of them are 29 spline axles.
