However, I must take a minute to thank you BR. As a relative newb, its difficult to approach and fit into a group such as this. As such, I have spent the last few years reading. Some would consider me the "lurker" you described. However, i am not afraid to post. Its just that I, like you, have absolutely nothing of value to add 99% of the time - so i dont post. Trust me BR, I am just as eager as you, but look at my post count for the past 2+ years (and I visit damn near EVERY DAY). I thank you for setting the example for me NOT to follow.

HTEK....i think you nailed it....i too leark and rarely post...unless i KNOW what i'm saying or truly am not following a buildup step or how to....

TO everyone else...I would like to take a second to thank all of you others out there that have been VERY welcoming and helpful when i ask questions...and gracious enough to offer to take "strangers" or “newbs” on trail rides... that makes for a very genuine chapter and one i'm please to be apart of. :wave:

I am sorry you feel that way, but I would be willing to bet that still today. You CANNOT find another club organization as large and as genuinely kind as . The same people that started this thing are still here, just less talkative. What goes on outside the internet that isn't talked about on here is WAY more impressive than anything else.

We are the FARTHEST from pirate than anything else on the internet. They don't even compare to us as far as a club. People just need to remember its about wheeling and comraderie. If you havnt been with us in a few years, maybe step out of the internet world and show up to something.

You have a good point, the criticism of one member on this chapter has gone a little overboard, and dragged down the attitudes of many here. But to say this chapter has a "pirate-esk intolerance" is just not right. Nowhere on here do you see new members getting "Flamed", or even people telling others off, except for the joking with friends. I see people asking for help from others, people giving away old but still good parts, and people setting up runs to meet the people in this chapter. I have made some great friends on this board and on the runs that are set up in this chapter. I would tell anyone with a XJ/MJ to check out and to go to this section of the board for help and advice.



You may not understand that the problems that I and other people have had with Troy have gone on for a very very long time, not just a few months, but this has been a topic and a distraction for well over a year. This did not start out like this, most started out and asked nice for him not to do what he does, but his lack of understanding and listening to good advice from others built up in time, it has been a long time comming before it got this bad.



You may not know that the rules of this chapter have changed because of him, no more posting anything for sale because he would turn the section into a Big Red's for sale chapter, trying to sell $5 parts to others for $30 plus shipping. After he was asked again and again, put on a time out, he would still do it. Now no longer can anyone post up what they had for sale in just the chapter section, to try to sale it to friends or others locally.



His flat out lying, his use and abuse of multiple user accounts, his lack of understanding and his not listening to anyone’s requests have put him on a few time outs. Back when there was a rating system on he made 5 or 6 different user names to give negitive points to the people he did not like, and to boost up his own numbers. When asked by the board members he admited to it and was again put on a time out. (I think it was for 3 months)



I too, like you, stared out in defending, as you call him "good ol Big Red," but now he has pushed me way too far, and I think almost all that once defended him have left his side. It was over a year and a half ago that we first talked face to face, was only for about 15 minutes on a Hollister run, and I remember thinking he seemed like an ok person. But to do what he has done, to lie to me and everyone, to stab almost everyone here in the back is not ok.

For one to sell known bad parts saying they were good but were compleat junk, is not a very nice thing to do. I would not do this to anyone, not even someone I did not like. I think most on the Sierra Chapter would not do this to anyone ether. If I did sell a part and it was complete junk, I would do everything possible to make sure that this person was happy, not point fingers lie and try to get away with it! I have recived free parts from a few people on this board and I have given away parts to members that needed it. He trys to rip off others selling junk and other stuff to make a profit.


I don't think is a club "where only the cool are accepted" it can't be because I am on here. I think most all walks of life are in the Sierra Chapter, I have been on runs with many different types of people and so far all but one have been people I would go out of my way to help and would hang out with anytime.

I don't know how you know Troy but good luck on your character defending of Troy, you will need it, because from what I have seen out of him, I believe Troy has no character.

I was, and am planning on taking a break from this Chapter, but I will not sit by and read the BS that David is saying about me. I'm not the reason that people cannot sell stuff in the chapter. I did advertise a lot of things and I've paid with a time out for listing something after it was not o.k. to do it anymore and that's fine. But a lot of people were selling things here, I did my fair share as well.

I did not however list items that I knew were broken. The item you are eluding to David is a dana 30 axle that I sold to Maximus. I never had a problem with it, but Maximus months later after installing it in his Jeep told me he had a problem with it. Again I honestly, God as my witness, didn't have a problem with the axle and didn't even do any hard wheeling with it, I had it in the XJ I bought from someone else. The only reason I sold it was because I bought 1 with a ARB, and the 1 I sold had 4.56 gears but was open. After learning about the problem, I contacted Maximus and we haved worked out a few more deals and I have made amends with him. He is a very nice guy and I in no way was looking to screw over anyone. Again God as my witness on this.

Also I have sold Chrysler Lebaron hood vents for $35 shipped in the cont U.S. That is what they go for on this website and people line up to buy them for that. I buy them for $10 a pair usually from pnp and then pay $12-16 to ship them, so my profit is small. I'm not looking to make a huge profit, but I know that there is someone out there that doesn't have the bone yards that I'm fortune to have and would love to have a set on their Jeep and as I said, people have no problem paying this for them. I'm not looking to make $ off my fellow wheelers, but making a small amount on a pair of hood vents made it worth pulling them, going to UPS to ship them, pack them, etc etc. I've sold the vents locally for a reduced price because again they are a cheaper item, but they are getting really hard to find.

I admit that I did use 4 user names when we had the rep system and I did give negative rep to people that were on a high horse and did the same to me. I'm happy that the rep system is no more because this really encouraged clique and people to gang up on others. I did pay for this mistake in judgement on my part with a 3 month suspension and I'm appreciate that the BOD here was forgiving of me. The rep system was getting way out of hand and I did get carried away when I myself had some good rep.

And David, you never were a defendent of mine like you say. I never needed any defending, I made long posts and people called me on it. Then I had some runs in with you were I didn't back down to your comments and off we were on a verbal fight which resulted in your 2 day slap on the hand Time Out for using extremely vulgar swearing on a # of post towards me as well as modifying your user profile etc to make sure people saw your adult language. I hope you learned your lesson regarding this. I know this really turned some people off that day when they had the misfortune of reading your foul language. As you like to say I turn people off, you have done the same.

On a final note, the people saying that they didn't want to post a meet and greet and a run because of fear I'd show up....many of you have not met me in person. I'm not an argumentive person. I just don't sit idle and let people personally attack me. I would love to buy a round of drinks and let bygons be bygons. We are adults here.

I've come clean and I'd like another chance. I know I've been very stubborn when people told me to be quiet and I've irrated a # of you with my long posts, questions, etc. I will watch my post content and # of responses. I don't mean to come off as a "know it all" and a "trouble maker" because I'm neither of those things.

Wrong. You were the reason for the rule. At one point you had 4 for sale threads on the front page of the Sierra Chapter forum, this isn't including your double posts for the same items. I would like to hear Maximus' thoughts on this. If he is still around. Seems like he didn't post much after his dealings with you.

Let bygons be bygons? That was what we all were trying to accomplish. The reason nobody wants you around is that you do act like a know it all, and you are a troublemaker becuase you continue to act like a know it all and yet you cannot even loosen your fan belt. You have no credibility, yet you continue to post as if you do. And when people call you on your BS, you get defensive and turn into a bigger retard.

if you can't handle being called on your BS then don't throw it out there.

Did you ever stop and think for even a second that we all mean well. Can't you see we just want you to stop the disruptions? Stop the mindless pointless posts? Does this make any sense? Did I leave you broken down at Hollister? No. I thought that maybe that would show you something about how the members of this chapter respect and look out for each other. But once again all the good advice, and all good intentions don't amount to anything when dealing with you. Just remember that actions speak louder than words. Troy, your actions will ultimately decide whether or not you can be a productive and accepted member of this chapter. Right now, things aren't looking good for you.
