Lokka locker?

your asking if the addition of disk brakes changes Cclip removal?

no, removal remains the same, and the shaft will slide right out after the caliper is removed.

I'm asking if C clip removal requires popping out the springs and pins that come with the locker. It would be a pain to lose one if I do the disc conversion in a year or two. I might consider doing discs now just because I'm unlucky that way.

Got mine installed today. Passed the rotation test and everything spec'd out according to the sheet... When I rotate one tire forward and then jerk it back it sure does seem to unlock really easily... Can't even hear it on the road. Any insight? Not to steal this thread away from the original topic. I checked my shafts on the side gears before I went any further as a result though!

In what conditions? As far as I can tell both tires pull. Will it change my turning radius on pavement in 4wd?

I was wondering offroad
But I believe it is a modified design from Aussie so I wouldn't worry about it to much

Yes, you have to disassemble the locker to get the c-clips out.

Sounds normal, it has no input from the drive shaft so it should unlock easily. It should be pretty much invisible in 2wd.

You should not be in 4wd on pavement, locked your now turning the front tires at the same speed, do that on pavement and your asking to break something.

My concern was basically that it was unlocking too easily and wouldn't work when I needed it... Lol. I guess it's fine. I'll put in 4wd on jack stands tomorrow night.

What should it do with the front tires off, rears still on the ground, in 4wd?

Rears still on the ground? It should drive away.

just bit the bullet and ordered one of these for my 29sp 8.25, will report back on how i feel about the install and how it handles daily driver duties.

Aussie Locker™ ?

What is the history of LOKKA?
LOKKA has been manufactured in Australia since the late 1990’s and has been sold globally under its own brand name or re-branded for local resellers.
From 2003 to 2012 it was best known in North America under the brand name Aussie Locker™*

so its an Aussie Locker

with the "Lokka" brand? I'm curious, did you buy direct from their site? I still haven't heard a peep from them via email confirming my order other than my paypal receipt.

Yes. I bought the front locker like 6-8 months ago and I ordered the rear on a Tuesday night and had it by Monday afternoon from Australia. I got an email from some go gears or something regarding my order.

Fine. They click in slow and tight spaces like parking lots, but I don't have any major complaints. The rear one wants you to go straight all the time and will unlock pretty loudly if you get on it coming out of a corner. I barked 35's pulling into my neighborhood :D

I'm confused.

I thought the Lokka was a domestic rebrand of the Aussie. The Lokka still comes from down under?
