Locking hubs on a 99 Cherokee

Yes your axle shaft U-joints will most definitely break.. Oh wait its a Dana 30 so that happens all the time anyways.

So how do I unlock my hubs on my Dana 30?

Do you have selectable hubs? Even if you do it will not hurt anything unless you have a spool up front.

How do you know you have selectable hubs? Is this a dana 30? 44? 60? No details kinda makes it hard to give accurate info. For all we know, you have a 44, or 60 up front and a spool and having the hubs locked would be bad.

None of the XJs came with locking hubs. Instead the driveshaft spins free in the transfer case when its 2WD and then gets engaged in 4WD
