Local source for D35 u-bolts?

Last time I needed u-bolts (for a Chryco 8.25) I went to 4WheelParts (about two years ago)...ended up with the wrong bolts. So I went to Beatty's truck spring place in San Jose off Brokaw, got some custom bolts bent up but also paid a pretty penny. I believe someone here asked if they came with a reach-around for the price...

This time I need some D35 u-bolts and I ordered some Procomps from Summit Racing, but they are also wrong! 3.25"...way too big for the D35.

Does anyone have a part number for the right u-bolts? Why is this so difficult? I figured the D35 was sooo common that anyone would have them. The parts listings rarely have the u-bolt measurements and only some list what axle they are for.

I'm getting ready to install my lift this month and this is the only part holding things up.

your dana 35 u bolts need to be 2.64" in inner diameter.
id bring a tape measure or dial calipers

you should be able to search for that diameter online and have some cheap ones shipped?

i think you can search napa auto parts by diameter?

other ideas are:
rubicon express sells them, and so does ruffstuff, they are both in sacto, they both ship right?

the dana 44 is 2.75" in diameter
we all know the chryco 8.25 is 3".
3.25" is big.

You can use 2.75" ubolts on the D35. Last time we needed some we tried Napa. Otherwise hop online to one of the many NAXJA sponsors and get some shipped to you.

Sounds silly but Orchard Supply Carries U-Bolts. They are in the back section with the pullies and hooks and so on. I haven't purcahsed them there but I have seen them.

I also have a set you can have for $10 :-)

Thought about OSH since I've seen them there. I was worried about them being low grade, like 5, but it seems Husky springs used Grade 5 for the 1/2" bolts http://www.huskyspring.com/Page.taf?title=U-bolt Tips&page=ubolts

Are those used or new bolts? Didn't want to re-use old ones.

I think I'll probably just order some up from Rubicon Express or something.

Maybe just throw a tape measure on them really quick to verify the width and length.

I believe I am going to be going to the San Jose airport on the 22nd to pick up my mother-in-law. If I do I could bring them down to you.

Or the will most likely fit into a $10, medium, flat rate box.

I went to Auto Zone and they have extra long ones on the shelf. Just install and cut to the right length. I went to the Auto Zone at the Plant which is the new shopping center by San Jose FairGrounds. They Are cheap.

The ones I have are from a RE 3.5" lift kit, they gave my nephew the u-bolts for D35 and he has an 8.25 so they will fit for sure. Will send the email when I get home.

Every time I need ubolts I go to Reuben at A1 Spring on 98th in Oakland near 580. $15 each... makes em to your specs while you wait, never had a problem. He has probably made me 100 of them to date (used to have a shop in San Leandro).

Ended up buying these off of Rockslut. Thanks for the help guys.

Revrok - I believe I went to Bett's in San Jose last time. Definitely ended up with nice u-bolts, but I thought I would try to get them a little cheaper than $65 this time.

I totally understand that! Betts is also a good source... A1 is just cheaper, especially if you live in the East, not South Bay! Just noticed your locale! $65 for 4 bolts isn't too bad.
