XJ_Ranger,
Checked the ratios today, both stock 3.55s. Sorry we'll miss you, on the 4th...but the XJ may still be in pieces by the time you get back.

sweet!

best of luck!

Tom, do you have a Sawzall? If you do I won't bother bringing mine.
I'll bring my angle grinder and I'll borrow my bosses welder just in case.

Sawzall - Yes, I have two. Makita 110vac and Craftsman 19.2vdc

Thanks for the reminder about grinders, I'll need to pick up some cut off wheels before saturday.

Who is coming?

Me
Jes
Rightseatsis
slonopotam
Lee, you in?

Tom, i wish I could help you out. I have my daughter next weekend. I might be able to stop by and hang out for a little while though, with the kid.

Jes,
Bud light getting cold.

Cool on the welder, that will be good for the steering box brace. Scored some previously owned but new in the box Rubicon Express fixed super flex LCAs. Finished pressing in the upper axle bushings tonight and started on the axle u-joints.

I could use a ball joint press or a dead blow hammer. Couldn't get the U-joints to seat in the axle shafts so the c-clips are not installed yet.

See you all Saturday...Mary is going shopping tomorrow. Final head count still four?

Jes, Slonopotam, Mary, Myself & possibly Lee supervising (?)

Thanks,
Tom

Thanks to Jes, Slonopotam & Rightseatsis the lift is installed. 12 hours of work, sweat (for some) and fluid refreshment later and it was movable.

Here's the $50 project prior to starting:

Yes he was there and was a major reason this was completed. That is my better side just above Jes' head.

Even I had to work, not just panic it wouldn't go smoothly. Removing rear shocks and Karma was with me...no broken bolts!

Almost done.

Look at the time on the clock just behind Aubrey's head, yep that's PM!

The lift is worth more then the Jeep. Thanks for all the help (there is no more Bud Light, or anchor steam in the house! and a major dent in the quanity of Bud Select) and support from NAXJA & the Sierra Chapter in the installation and advice.

Next up SYE. Hopefully to have on before Hollister!

....and list of compleated upgrades.

Welded the inner side of the lower control arm brackets on the Dana30 and welded on one of the upper bumpstop cups.
Installed Dana30 diff guard, Dana30 shafts with new u-joints, installed the Dana30, 3.5" coils, 2" bumpstops, brake lines front/rear, shocks front/rear, 3.5" leafs, track bar, sway bar disconnects, still got a pile of stuff to install though.

Sounds like you all had a blast. Looks like a good start.
I wish I had a pile of stuff to put on mine. I have to wait for each part.:gonnablow
