Let's play the Ford axle identification game.

That's a very good price for those axles. The HP 44 is hard to find with non-cast radius arm mounts. I just bought the same two axles two weeks ago for $400.
Those would be from a F100 or F150.

That's what the seller told me when I picked them up, f100 or f150. he couldn't remember.

I am about to make you sick. His first number was $200.00 for both. I waited and called back a week later. I took both home for $100.00 I need to get out there and pull the cover and count gear ratio. Last night I won an E-bay auction for a mini spool for the 9 inch $9.99 plus 9.80 shipping. I'll run with that until I can afford a locker for back there. Or I might just keep it spooled..

Sorry if I got them too cheap. Maybe I should just turn around and sell them. It's maybe a year before I can really look at getting them on. Although with them setting next to the garage, I might be faster.

Unless somebody threw it away there should be a tag on the front axle beetween two of the dif cover bolts. The ratio is stamped on that tag. If they are from the same rig the rear will match that ratio.

Most likely 3.5 something.

i'd bet it was a 31 spline! if you get them and go through them, make sure you take the outter wheel bering to the parts store with you, 'cause there are 3 diffren't sizes of those things.....i had to learn the hard way...3 trips before i got the right one. the 9" and dana 44 combo is a very good upgrade! if you wanted to, you could even use the radius arms on your rig. they are pretty much bomb proof, and would be simple to get a good amount of lift for little$$$!

I had thought about that. Someone said that the radius arm set-up doesn't flex too well. That conserns me. I think I'll do a long arm set-up. Maybe.
