i suddenly have the whole weekend free... i have some wrenching to do but i want to go wheeling!!! and my local buddies are all busy.. anyone want to come out to springfield, mass and bang around a little?? i know 4 good trails that can make a good part of a day.. 3 of them have been run by stock XJ's and S10's.. the 4th one is a great trail but was a challenge for my small lift. go arounds on most obstacles but a few tricky spots.. 2 of these trails go to the top of mountains with excellent veiws.. will somebody PLEEEEEEEEEEASE go wheeling with me?
mike

I agreed to help my brother take parts to an AMC show and swap meet on Saturday, but I might be able to spare a few hours on Sunday if you're up for one of the mild trails. I'm not interested in the difficult one at the moment.

Check in with me Friday or Saturday night by PM

Sunday might work for me too, I will have a better idea tomorrow or saterday night , it is a little bit of a hike but might be worth it, send me a PM if you find out anything more, I Can't do anything too hardcore my noslip hasnt been installed yet on anything other than my coffee table, which might I add is making a nice decoration around here.

sunday looks like a nice day for wheeling... the three trail heads are all within 20 mins of eachother, and if you we have time and you want to see the 4th trail and do the first 1/2 it's no problem.. ironically my lock-right is installed on my kitchen floor as we speak.. we could meet just off the westfield exit off the mass pike and head out.... anyone else??
mike

I'd love to Mike but I need to get a few loose ends on the XJ tied up and a few things around this place to finish also. Will see you next Saturday at the meeting place for the Mohawk run. Can't stay over as I have a full day Sunday helping a friend move.

it looks like i may have roped in another 2 to 5 locals to run with us.. there is enough terrain around here to make the day as long as we want.. maybe do a group assault on the buffet restaurant after...
mike

heres some directions to the meeting place........ friendly's restaurant in westfield, ma
from the mass pike: exit 3 westfield... striaght acrosss from the toll plaza wil be friendly's.

from I-91:
exit 14 for I-90/mass pike.. go WEST, the next exit will be exit 3...

eagle.. if you are coming up the back way on RT 20 follow it all the way into westfield center... when you come to a set of lights where you meet RT 10 and 202 with a mobil gas station in front of you.. and RT 20 turns right . you need to turn LEFT and follow RT 10 and 202 about 2 miles(following the mass pike signs) you will come to the lights at the pike and friendly's will be on your right...
shoot for 930 or so?
ill pm my cellphone # to you if you want it
mike

Thanks Mike - it was a very nice day in the woods and hills. Maybe those last couple of trails were short, but they have a great destination at the top - fantastic views of Massachusetts hill country. (You've gotta remember to get to that one ridge before the airshow next year! :) )

Thanks again for leading, had a good time with both you guys yesterday. See you in Utah.

Tom, sorry. I thought I answered this one earlier. Mike's new URL will work.

Mike, thanks again for wasting a lot of pixels on Red, I appreciate the pics, they really did come out great - even the long distance ones!
