I am planning on moving to the Canadian Arctic, In late October of this year I will be visiting the NWT (Northwest Territories) in the City of Yellowknife. I am going to be looking for work and hopefully get to spend the rest of my life up there. So far I have made many contacts, I feel good about this and hope the NWT is everything I dreamed it to be.
In the past few months I had a hell of a time finding out the trail system up there, the laws, where you can go, off road clubs etc, then I was talking with my contacts up there and asked them if there were any trails to off road in, and what its like for the 4WD user/enthusits, and what are the laws regarding trail useage?
She told me that's all they do up there, so many trails that are considered roads and used by everyone - ATV's Jeeps, 4X4, XJ's! etc, she says everyone goes wherever they want whenever they want, and some places you should not go...ahahaha Lots of Rocks, Swamps, mud, tundra etc its a 4wd paradise over 456,800mi2 is waiting for my XJ! ahaha..
There is no need for 4wd groups to fight land closure, so it looks like I am all set, taking a nice XJ, my Shelby Charger and begin life in the Canadian Arctic!
