The Rausch Creek King of the Hammers Qualifier event is being held on Friday May 7th.

There has been talk of people going up Friday to watch the event, camping Friday night and wheeling on Saturday. This isn't an official NAC event, but I thought I'd start a thread where folks can talk about what they'll be doing.

This worked out perfectly for me. My wife will be in Florida with the kids visiting her mom. So I'll be a bachelor that weekend!!! I'm gonna go up Thursday after work and stay through Sunday morning.

I will be taking a personal day for this!! I have been thinking about this and I might come up Friday morning to watch the event, camp that night, wheel on sat., camp that night also then go home Sunday morning.
I have to see how my schedule plays out, but it should be a good time!

I was up there last year for the event. Unfortuantly I highly doubt work is going to let me out this year for it. I had a blast last year at it and wish I could be there again.

I'm hoping I don't have a final that day. If I don't then I'm taking off of work and going up.
Edit: I believe the Saturday before this is the first RCrocs event. Anyone going to that?

Ill be there to wheel saturday most likely!

I just may have to go wheelin that saturday...

I am going to be up trout fishing for most of that week, but I'll be there Friday for the RCQ.... not missing this again... I gotta get home Friday night though, so no wheeling SAturday for me...

Not sure EXACTLY who is racing in this, but I have heard that there are some west coasters that are gonna learn a little about mossy/wet rocks, mud and trees...

Think you would have time Friday afternoon to at least run one or two trails?

im gonna try to make it, hopefully i can have the jeep in some type of running condition by then

For anyone who is coming up Saturday to wheel, we are going to meet in the parking lot around 8:30ish and hit the trails at 9:30. Look for my white MJ. We will be running blues and blacks. This isn't a NAXJA sponsored event, so if you aren't there on time, we aren't obligated to wait for you:laugh3:

We are going to keep the groups to no more than 5 or 6 Jeeps. If 7 Jeeps show up, we WILL split up.

Here is the list so far. Please post up one way or the other.

Also, some of us will be there Friday night and Saturday night camping at Twin Grove. If you are going to be there either of those nights, come on over and hang out around the fire. Shoot me a PM and I'll tell you what campsite we'll be at.

I was just contacted about a possible full day of trail cutting work on a new rock vein on the NE property after the KOH, either Saturday or Sunday. I won't be there Sat/Sun, but if you guys would like to put in a full day (maybe Sunday?) helping (at least ONE chain saw will be needed) I am sure RC will compensate you.

Pretty cool idea. I have to head home Sunday morning though, and call me selfish, but I'm not giving up wheeling on that Saturday to cut trails.
