Thought I'd throw it out there brother.
I completly relate. When I built mine several people (including my wife) asked me why I didn't go with a tandem. I just looked at them and said why do you think.
It's for "me time". Luckily I only live five minutes from some water.

I've got several lakes around me... I don't wanna work that hard tho! I wanna float down rivers!
