Kansas City/ Tuttle Creek M&G

20th.

I also plan on bring any XJ parts I dont need to pawn off cheap. So if anyone else has stuff laying around we could do a small swap meet.

Collin (BGSLVRXJ) came down and helped me install the new motor in my 97 that I just picked up, and he mentioned that he and Dustin (Comancheeon33) are going to probably make it down from Des Moines to the M&G, so that will be fun.

I'm game to do something work is crazy but I should be able to get out of at least one saturday. IS there a set time and place for this yet?

I will be there either way, I'll be talking with Dustin to see if he plans on making it. Did you guys get that motor going Tyler?

The date is Saturday, September 6th at the Randolph city park. We will meet up there and then go on over to Tuttle Creek ORV area (about a mile away). As far as time, I am thinking around 10:00 meet up and then hit the trails by 11:00? This is a very unstructred event (if you would call it that) and more of a chance for everyone to get to BS and wheel in an outside enviroment instead of yelling down a table to try and talk to another perosn in a resturant.

But dont get me wrong, the M&G at a resturant is great with me when it is extreme hot or cold outside :D

Cool might have to work that day but if not Ill be there!

I can sense that you might have a "sickness" that day and need off from work. My wife calls my wheelin addiction a "sickness" :D

Cough blake cough blake cough cough

Is this an open invite? Does the orv park have mild trails for stockers that like to go and play? I'd be interested in learning more.....

Tuttle creek has several areas for a stocker to get out and play....

And yes its open. Its free. And should be a good time. Weather has been perfect last couple weeks. Hope it holds up.

That is the beauty of the meet and greet is that it is free (other then what you want to spend on food and gas etc). I have wheeled in groups at Tuttle that have stock rigs and extreme rigs. Come on out and meet the gang and have fun wheeling. Remember, we all had to start somewhere and learn. There will be wheelers of all skill levels out there, so dont sweat it and enjoy teh fellowship. If you want to explore areas that are beyond your rigs capabilities, then hope in an open seat and ride with someone with amore capable rig. Hope to see you there.

Blake has a very valid point. Since this is not an official NAXJA event, we can not enforce the rules, but we (the participants) should still use good common sense. Below are the rules and requirements from the NAXJA bylaws.

From the :NAXJA: Bylaws -

Section 3: Required Equipment for Event Participation

1. :NAXJA: VERY HIGHLY recommends that all event participants have a CB Radio.
2. :NAXJA: requires all listed items to be present, and available for use, for a vehicle to be permitted to participate in a event. Participants are expected to stow equipment and all other items within their vehicle in a safe manner, conscious of the effects of OHV use and possible shifting of items.
3. :NAXJA: Safety Inspectors will use this list for safety inspections prior to any event. The Safety Inspector has final say in approval or rejection of any vehicle for event participation and may at anytime defer to a second event or club officer for additional ruling.
4. :NAXJA: expects each event participant to carry insurance and registration sufficient to meet the legal requirements of their vehicle state of residence and for the roads and trails traveled for the event. :NAXJA: is not responsible for assuring an entrant's vehicle is legal for the roads and trails traveled in the event.

Equipment List

1. Visibly charged fire extinguisher (BC or ABC)
2. First aid kit
3. Adequate spare tire, jack and lug wrench
4. Safety belts for driver and any current passenger
5. Adequate attachment points in the front and rear of the vehicle:
1. Acceptable forms of attachment points: (All Items must be mounted in a manner to provide adequate strength and integrity)
2. Tow hooks of OEM or greater integrity
3. D-Rings
4. Shackle/Clevis
6. 20ft 10,000lb snatch strap without any metal hooks
7. Secured battery (no bungee cords)

Now with this being stated, we will not turn anyone away who wants to wheel with us, but please do not go out onto the trails without the proper equipment. There will be some of us there that have some extra recovery gear/winches etc, but PLEASE COME PREPARED. Now lets all show up and have a damn good time, I know I will! :D

Damn you. That makes my todo list longer.

As of now I dont have a passenger for the 6th. So someone can tag along with me, but im kinda of a boring wheeler. Easy trails and what not.

Like I stated above, the items are suggested for this gathering, we can not make anyone have the items unless it is an official event, which this is not.

PShhh. That was my stunt dumby double. It does all the hard things for me to make me look good.

Hey gang, I have ran it by Mike (HaleYes) about a 50/50 drawing. The proceeds will go to MWC in a form as a donation. So with that being said, bring some cash SUCKAS!! It is for a good cause, and the MWC is always up for donations.
