Re: NAC Lots-O- Posts Thread-Part Deux

I'm a welding idiot so I might be wrong on this, but it looks like your wire feed speed is way too low for the current/heat you're running (if you keep welding in fits and starts) or the heat is way too low. You'll get less spatter when you turn the heat up, and it won't stick as much.

Re: NAC Lots-O- Posts Thread-Part Deux

no welding expert.. looks to me like wire speed is too high hence the spatter :dunno:

o and can you get on the JFC site code?

Re: NAC Lots-O- Posts Thread-Part Deux

i cant so I am back to here haha

i got round two

I added heat, and took out wire feed speed, they sat down alot nicer, and almost looked like a weld, I got pics coming

Re: NAC Lots-O- Posts Thread-Part Deux

The best advice I can really give is to cut through the weld crossways and see how well it penetrated, make sure there aren't any voids. Then weld that cut back together and do the same thing again. Continue until you are bored or run out of wire.
