lol andy not all of us can trailer our rigs to rausch....

Lame.... I ran most every black at RC (and PAP) WAAAY before I had a trailer....
The MJ never gets trailered to RC, and has wheeled most of the blacks up there. I would have driven it up if I had made it out with you folks a few weeks ago. That truck just flat-works when it comes to wheeling and driving to the trails.

I'll do blacks and reds. Iirc I was the only one in our group to try a red with my 94 last time or the time before. Open/open didn't get me real far and I ended up getting pretty hung up. Good time. Love to try it again.

well you know i am crazy enough I was doing that purple trail at nac fest and I will try just about anything i just have to watch it right now cause I don't have a backup vehicle. Plus my girl just bought the house and that is where most of my money is going. but I would have to agree with the guys that we do greens and blues so everyone can participate and have a good time.

So we're not all Shao Lin masters of jeeping... but we are pretty good having a good time at Rausch. Thats what its all about anyway. I've suggested we all lend a hand next RC event for the experience and for some day passes.

Trailer? My driveway has two vehichles Wifes Sooby & my XJ... No room for a Trailer or a toy hauler. I wont be buying lockers any time soon Dont have the money for it. Black trails are fine, However... My jeep has to get me to work everyday. The mortgage depends on it.

I suppose if you want to hang your hat on a good excuse, the DD excuse is pretty good. My XJ has NEVER been my primary vehicle. Thats why I always preferred Saturday wheeling trips though... if you drive to the trail and you DO break/bend/tweak something, you have PLENTY of time to limp it home and fix it the next day if needed.

Don't get me wrong, this Shao Lin master has had his share of days when the Jeep was definitely limping home, but for me that usually means I was pushing/learning my (and the XJ's) limits and still HAD A GREAT DAY!!! Plus... 96% of the time, I had the spares needed and it was fixed/wheeling again in under an hour.

My DD isnt my excuse, my income / house / bread on the table is.

Its great to have someone thats done it before tell you youre safe... I believe it was John505 that told me I'd be ok wheeling the day after I broke the shock mount... But I was thinking "WELL I"M SCREWED", Thanks to John I went through the whole day, no problems, made it home & to work (where I fixed my shock) & had a buddy weld the mount back on

So yeah, you gotta do the trails to learn how to pick lines & tire placement. We have the best time learning... I think its way more fun learning with guys that also dont know. If you want to watch us makes mistakes and learn, come out... its fun, no matter what color the trail is.
