Junkyard Finds

I was at Shorty & Dave's yesterday looking for some parts for my GW and they had lots of XJs and a few MJs. Many were pretty picked over but a few were almost complete. Pulled a few things for a friend of mine. They are located at 588 Swedeland Road King of Prussia PA 610 275 4141. For PA/NJ/DE guys they're just off the Blue Route. As I was leaving they were bringing in 2 more XJs.
Might be worth a trip. Seemed like they had at least 50 Jeeps to pull from.

Thanks for the heads up. This place is a real "U-Pull-It"? I can't find any yards in NJ like that - insurance reasons.

what are you talking about i know of atleast 3 you pull its in southern New Jersey.try looking in the phone book dude.

Maybe I should have been more specific... I haven't found any "U-Pull-It" yards with XJs. I just called both Mays Landing places - neither have XJs, but thanks for the info. There were a bunch of "U-Pull-It" yards in northern NJ where I grew up, but they no longer let you into the yard due to insurance reasons.

uhm you can't call Dirks and expect them to know what they have .they are idiots.you have to just go and look .trust me there are always cherokees in that place .i lived around the corner from them and went about once every two weeks just to look for crap i didn't need. they have a few as of 5/16/05 they had 3 in their yard

Thanks, the girl that answered the phone at Dirkes said she checked her computer and they didn't have any. I'll just drop in next time I'm down that way.
I loved junkyard diving as a kid and was quite disappointed when they all started closing the yards by me.

Shorty & Dave's usually has a bunch of XJ and the occasional TJ or YJ too, defintely a good source. As of Monday, Harry's in Pennsburg (right off NE Extension) had a bunch of older XJ's, couple MJ's (2WD) and one picked apart ZJ.

Yeah I grew up in the Bay Area, Sac Area for 27 years then the next 20 in Boise so I know what you mean. Being a smart ass is my favorite past time beside wheelin.
