Junk Yard Parts Finds/Requests

ok sorry for the bad post. i sinserely apologise. i missinterpreted the post and thought he meant he had a friend AT the junk yard, and was calling him to possibly save it. again my deepest apologies, especially to Johnnyc.
its just that so many times a D44 gets found in a yard and posted on a forum, someone goes and grabs it and then posts it on craigslist or somewere just to make a profit. yes i do believe in free enterprize. i just dont believe in making a large profit on fellow naxja members. again, i am very sorry.

No worries. Johnny called Crazyjim because he has an MJ and the D44 was in an MJ and they bolt right in vs. the XJ D44 which has spring perches on the other side.

"Any late models?"
-The 92 was the newest one there.
"I need a '99 durango 4x4 steering box"
-I did not see any Durangos there. Sorry.
"I need all the plastic interor parts from a 90 limited the one with grayish lether... anyone?"
-Some of the jeeps had gray interior. One gray headliner was real nice (without OH console), but I did not see a Limited.

"i need a turn signal switch with cruz"
-Just the lever or ?
Send me a pic of what you need. I can probably pick it up on the way home tmrw.

I searched a little. Yours is a pre-97, right?

So the MJ 44 is still there? I called crazyjim from the junkyard Friday and left him a message.

Stephan, there is one late model at the small Wilmington PAP and two late models at the Wilmington Ecology. What were you looking for?

I need plugs to do my power window conversion.

I've probably sold a dozen or so XJ44s over the years, going through the trouble to pull it and all that nets me some money to build the Jeep with.

I don't go pull 44s when they're posted here though, only what I find myself, and I haven't done that in a few years because I'm lazy.

I actually need to go hunting again sometime and build up some stock to gouge people with, I could use some more Jeep money!

ok, i know i deserve it. and i do agree it is alot of work for a little profit. you are definatly not gouging anyone. and i will probably end up paying the definatly fair prices here on naxja. its just that every time i hear of one in a yard, it takes me a week or two to set up help to get it, and then its gone. if i could do it myself i would, but theres a reason i have a wheelchair as my avatar. but really, i do feel they are fair game and if you can make a few bucks, go for it. it was stupid of me to jump off the handle like i did and i do apologize to everyone.

So it's still there, ripe for the taking. Too bad it's not half-price any more though. ;)

yea i hear ya, i was all ready and had help lined up for sat and all, then came down with a gnarly stomache flu. i dont even remember the weekend. its all good though, im in no hurry. and thanks for the understanding. your a good man.

. . . it takes me a week or two to set up help to get it, and then its gone. . .

It'll take a few mintues a phone call from you.

If you decide to come down to the wilimington junkyards, let me know and I'll help you pull a D44 out if there's one. No charge. I enjoy going to the junkyard. ( well, you can maybe pay for me to get in. That's all I'll charge you. $2.)

well thats just awsome right there, thanks man i appreciate the offer. and i may just end up taking you up on it too. hope you know what your getting yourself into though. you will be doing most of the searching and pulling the wagon. i can walk with two canes (hence the sig name) but its awfully slow. but entry and lunch will be on me for sure. the least i could do. thanks again.

No worries. I saw the D44 on Friday and called Jim because I knew he was going to eventually need one for his "new" MJ. I would have pulled it for him, but I was short on time. I was going to see if he might want some help pulling it on Sunday, but the bastid never called me back.

Haha Johnny... I appreciate the call mang! Sucks though I didn't get the message til late that night, as I was in Havasu all weekend, and didn't have time to get it done Sunday when I got home. I got home then left for work that night.

"I need the turn signal assembly on the steering column. I have not taken it apart. But I need the whole thing."

I will check on the way home. What year is your jeep?

Hey bro, you're just down the road from me. Anytime you need help with something just shoot me a PM.

I think I have a full switch panel from a late 80's if you need it. I also have some parts from inside the doors.

Thanks, but I need late model 97+ body side plugs to build a harness to tie the doors together.
