Jet Peformance Chip?

I had great results with the stage 2 on my 94. I have a stage 2 sitting around for 96+ obd2s . . .

Gradon, what kind of performance increase did you feel? any at all?
tell us what your "great results" are.

i also have the stage 2 jet chip in a '96(obdII). it definitely helps, i can feel the difference with/without it. most of the power increase appears to be toward the top end. thankfully, the rev limiter does it's job. it pulls hard right up to 5200 or so, then BAM the limiter kills my fun. it's not worth the several hundred dollars they want for them new, but i bought mine for 75.00 off a guy with a wrecked tj.

x2

Mine came with the rig along with hi-flow waterpump and 180 degree t-stat. :)

On two, a 94 and 96, 2dr 2wd ax15 4.0s w/ same k&n fipk, 62mm tb, 99+intake, same borla header w/downpipe, magnaflow cat, and borla cat-back upgrades. The Jet 2 for the obd1 94 felt like it did add a true 15hp&lb/ft--throttle response was faster. The Jet 2 for the obd2 96+ feels like it adds a little more than half that. The 94 has smaller injectors, but a bigger lift cam, so breathing mods pack a little more bang for the buck.

fwiw, i should add that this is on top of a 62mm tb, fipk, apn header, and rusty's catback with a super 44.

Yeah I forgot that mine has a K&N drop-in (which I'll be getting rid of, YUCK), the 'bump' taken out of the throttle body, a Gibson stainless header, Carsound high-flow cat, Gibson muffler and tailpipe. Rear axle is a Tera60 high pinion 35 spline with a traction bar. :viking:

Did you guys notice a difference in fuel economy after the chip?

On mine it goes to garbage...but then I measure my wheeling/hunting trips in tanks, not MPG. :) I know my range and where the refueling places are in the areas I'll be in.

I get about 12mpg with all the junk I carry, 37s, and the extra weight of a fullsize spare, winch/bullbar, longarms/belly pan skid, HP44/HP60. Not 'too' bad, though...

Thats not to bad at all! im getting about the same on a 2000 with 120K, 31s and only the extra wieght of a roof rack with some lights...

You should be getting way better mileage than 12mpg...

i didn't notice any mileage increase just because of the jet chip, but after all the bolt on mods my mileage is slightly better than stock-hovers around 18-20 mpg, has done even better on long distance highway trips. and i have a heavy right foot.

i doubt the stage 1 would do much, considering the 2 is not by any means a drastic improvement, merely a little "perkier".

alright i didnt think it would do to much, but i just found the Edge kit, that a guy has for sale locally retails around $600 but he has about 5k on it and has it for what i think is cheap so i think im getting that.
It included there Edge full intake, with 62MM throttle body, and edge programmer. suppose to be a pretty good kit!
